I've never heard of him. :p

I've missed quite a few notorious posters, I've been told. :p

He's made a massive contribution to it. Hope he goes out in a blaze of glory.

Who could they possibly replace him with? They will have to dust off some new characters they haven't used yet. Somebody good.

I think they'll try to use Captain Marvel as a replacement for Cap and I'm sure Buckie will stick around and keep the spirit of Cap alive. But Roger's had something that I dont think any of the current or announced MCU heroes have. Roger's started out as a runt that refused to quit in the face of any odds. He isnt cynical at all. He believes in the ideal view of what the world and humans should be. He's a good man, a boy scout, and doesnt have a mean bone in his body and rarely thinks of his own well being. And Evans always wore all of that right out in the open. All the other heroes are good people, but and the actors do very well with their characters but they just arent Steve Rogers or Evans.

I'd rather they not do that. I'd be fine with Buckie getting the shield but only if he makes it his own. Get rid of the red white and blue. Repaint it with colors and a symbol that fits Buckie. And I dont want him wearing Cap's suit. The MCU doesnt need someone being Cap-In-Name/Look--Only. Not when Buckie can retain his own identity and still promote Steve Roger's beliefs and ideals.

Well the precident was set in the comics so they could try it.

They could, and it would be a mistake like it was in the comics, imo.

That would be a much better way of doing it. Do something in honour of Cap rather than trying to be Cap.

I didn't read those comics, I just heard about it, lol

I've been reading and been a fan of Steve Rogers as Captain America for 53 years. Chris Evans' Cap has been wonderfully brilliant and everything I imagined a Cap movie would be like since I was a little kid. I don't give a flying **** about Bucky or if he ever took on the mantle of Cap in the comics. If an actor wants to leave a role behind and not play the character again (or be forced to leave the role...how ya doing Terrance Howard?)....fine, it's a free country...leave the role. But the company does not have to kill his character off....just recast it. Tarzan, James Bond, Simon Templar, and so on and so on have been recast and the world goes on.

I wouldn't be against Bucky replacing Steve... Except that they didn't really do a good job of making me buy into the relationship between them in the first place. It's sort of just stated but I don't feel it, which goes all the way back to how CA: TFA is a very rushed and mediocre affair.
