So I take it many people will skip the IMAX screening since it will be on tv with extra content pretty soon after? And many of the people that do see it in IMAX might be so disappointed that they'll not be likely to give the show a chance after that and potentially think bad of Marvel as a whole? This doesn't seem like a smart move at all.

Well, that's whatcha get for hiring Scott Buck.

Yikes. Wondering if the $15 for an IMAX ticket will even be worth it at this point

I'll probably see it in IMAX for a couple reasons. One, while I don't want to waste $15, it's also not a huge amount of money. Two, as much as people dislike the sets (obviously I've started a thread about the subject), Hawaii will hopefully at least look good on IMAX. Plus, it'd be interesting to see the crowd size and reaction.

perlmutter is the one who pushed for this, but loeb was to one who said 'okay' to scott buck and gave it a green light.

it's not like they are fox, and have to go into production before they lose rights. they had all the time in the world to do it right, but they started late, got greedy and rushed it for imax release. and look how that turned out.

The best thing to do now if they release it in IMAX is to stick the Fox logo in front of the movie with the searchlights. That way they can pass the buck. :o

Well, yes and no. IMAX said they would give them money if it were released on Labor Day weekend. They did have a hard deadline if they wanted to make something with IMAX money. I still suspect that's the big reason they go with Scott Buck. They know he gets a product out on time. He's the Vince Colletta of show runners.

Now you're right that they wouldn't lose the property if they didn't put it out so they were free to try again next September, but it's possible they wouldn't have gotten the same funding.

Not shocked this awful as it has looked it from early on. As a fan of The Inhumans and Royal Family especially though, this still damn disappointing.

The funding might be all for nothing though if no-one wants to go and see this in IMAX and people are put off even watching the series. They could've achieved the same poor result with a much lower budget.

Glad I wasn't excited for this to begin with. Shame though, "Game of Thrones in space" is a cool premise.

Marvel TV shows are getting gradually worse (well it was gradual till BUck got involved). What a waste of potential. Allowing Scott Buck anywhere near this stuff is like a death sentence.

He's probably moving onto GOTG3 or Avengers 4.

Wow. For as much as my morbid curiosity wants to watch this, I'll wait for it on video just to avoid increasing the ratings or paying for an IMAX ticket.

This show will likely be cancelled and Scott Buck will never work in Hollywood again.

I hope this crashes and burns and teaches the higher ups at Marvel TV a lesson.

He could bring his magic to Starbucks. All customers will be waiting for a cup of coffee which he'll later announce that he never promised but maybe you might get a nod to one on your 13th visit if it makes sense and the groundwork is properly laid. :o

Please remove the Marvel Studios logo from the opening, or just forget about screening it in IMAX/to the public altogether. This is embarassing.

Regardless, Scott Buck tarnished the Marvel brand. Marvel Studios became as big as they've gotten by having their logo be a symbol of quality. If you saw a Marvel sticker on something, it meant, "this meets a certain level of quality and meets our company's high standards."

Scott Buck managed to make that logo meaningless. I hope he's happy.

It could be damaging to Perlmutter also since this was his project, it only happened because he kept pushing for it.

Fox or Sony logo should go in front instead.

Meanwhile, Kevin Fiege is laughing somewhere at this chaos.
