Absolutely love Cap. A gorgeous old-timey superhero flick with the glorious ear worm that is "Star Spangled Banner Man".

IM is still considered one of the best marvel movies and is definitely consider theGOTO t solo origin movie they have done. But I am just wondering, what do people think is the 2nd best solo origin? I am not including GOTG in this as that's the origin of a team rather rather than a single hero. However I am including TIH as it shows elements of the origin and was the introduction for the character in the MCU.

Personally, I love Thor and Ant Man, and Cap 1 has grown in me hugely over the years, so I am not sure what I would vote for just now, but I am curious to see what others think. So vote and discuss away people.

As I said in the TFA forums, I consider Cap's origin movie to be the best super hero origin on film, period.

I'd agree if they properly showed WWII rather rushing through it with the montage to get him to the future for the sake of the shared universe.

Yeah the montage is the worst part for me. It just takes me out of the movie. Cap1 has grown on me a lot over the years though. However Ant Man and Thor are still above it.

Okay.....took me a while to think this one but I went with Thor. Still a visually stunning film with Asgard. But its importance in the MCU can't be denied above anything else. Its the film that shows the audience that all these other worlds exists in this universe. They do an excellent job portraying that and it opens up the possibilities of what we will see beyond the earth. Thor was the hardest character to incorporate. I mean he's basically a God who has lived for centuries. Watching him onscreen with the likes of IM, Cap and the others was a tough task.

And pulling off the whole "science" aspect was sheer genius.

Ant-Man is close to first on the poll.

Unexpected but very cool.

Agreed, that's why I chose Thor over Ant Man, with great difficulty mind, but Thor just gave more to the MCU, including its best villain so far.

Thor 2 getting the "great" label invalidates that entire list.

That was my mistake.
Since it is in the early 70's in the first list, it would translate to be a 3 1/2 star movie(very good).
I will edited it above now and post below again.

Wait did I ever actually vote? Um heres my Top 3.

1. Iron Man
2. Captain America: TFA
3. Incredible Hulk

I forgot to add this recent movie to the list above.
Rotten Tomatoes
Fantastic Four (2015)(10%)

As much as I love Iron Man I'd put Cap above it. It gets better each time you see it, plus it has a fantastic villain.

That rivalry goes a long way. Captain America vs Red Skull is one of the greatest, most timeless rivalries in comics. It's not just a personal vendetta, but a clash of philosophies. It was so delicious.

Captain America by far although I do adore Thor.

I personally don't think that was captured in Cap though, I didn't think RS was portrayed as well as Loki. That's what puts Thor ahead of it for me.
