Anyone else a little bothered that Ultron was the one who cut off Klaw's arm, and not T'chaka?

I'm not. I've read all the Marvel comics off and on for some 50 years....so some things I forget and some I just missed on my time's off....I know of Klaw, but didn't remember how he lost his arm in the first place. So it works for me.

Respect each other's opinions, guys. I personally don't agree with 95% of the criticism of AoU either, but there is a respectful way to deal with people. Argue points, not people.

I'm not arguing at all nor did I mention anyone's name or call anyone out. I was simply making a reply to Bren that is all.

That applied to him, also. Applied to anyone that is doing that.

It wasn't just the train scenario in general. Ultron destroyed the controls and bailed much like Doc Ock did. There was also a shot that showed the end of the line, complete with a buffer just like in Spider-Man 2.

The train scenario is an iconic Superman scenario that has expanded to include all superheroes.

Got you, anyways back to discussing. Spidey I'm curious your thoughts. I know you said you loved the film. What were some of your favorite moments, or parts that really stuck out to you. It could be anything even just like certain shots in the film that you thought were especially beautiful. This film had great cinematography (no surprise since they got the same person from GOTG).

I just saw it.

I didn't read earlier posts.

Your feelings on Ultron: A little too comical?
Power-wise a little weak?
Should there have been a final boss battle w/Ultron & the Avengers?

One thing for sure I won't rush out to see Thor 3 (I wait to see if Surtur is defeated by a pea :woo:)

Whoa

So what begins with 'H' and 'N' to finish that anagram?

'Nexus' for time perhaps?

H...I'm stuck there... Maybe something to do with 'Hoggoth' if Strange is involved with that one (best I can think of atm at any rate).

Nexus for time and "Heart of..." for Soul?

Hey guys! I'm trying to find the name of the song from the soundtrack, the part where all the avengers are fighting together gloriously in slow motion defending the vibranium machine. Anyone? Thanks

p.s. Movie was awesome BTW

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit, there are some thing itself would have done differently, but that goes for about every movie I ever saw.

I really dug the Avengers team from the end... I think that's a great great squad.

"I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade"

damn son

It's a bit of a downgrade but then I think it always is when the Avengers
doesn't have the big three in play.
. It works though because Civil War is up next.

No because if everything was adapted directly in every way from the comics they wouldn't be very good movies.

Thank you! If everything was EXACTLY lifted from the comics, it'd be boring to watch and not very good. I feel like a lot of comic fans think this is the Marvel 616 universe directly put onto the screen, when actually this is a different universe than both the 616, Ultimates, etc. Things will be slightly different from the comics.

I don't see how the new team is a downgrade. I'd say it is either equal in power to the old team or even slightly more powerful. Cap and Widow are obviously the same. Falcon is probably about as powerful as Hawkeye, perhaps slightly more so if they equip him with some weaponry. War Machine is perhaps slightly less powerful than Iron Man, as he doesn't have the genius aspect and I get the impression that his suit has slightly less gadgets and additions. But that can change, and he has more military training, so I guess in a fight he's practically equal. Vision is a pretty obvious counterpart to Thor, I'd say he's more powerful. Scarlet Witch doesn't directly equate to Hulk, but she's very powerful in her own way. She tore the Avengers apart pretty much single handed.

I struggle to think what meaningful contribution (power-wise) does Falcon brings while Warmachine is in the team. It's like a budget version.
It will all be solved if Rhodes
sides with Tony in Civil War
, though.

The new team is interesting: 2 military-based "fliers", 1 super soldier, 1 super spy, an android and a witch. Weird.

Be interesting when Ant-man, Wasp, Captain Marvel and Black Panther are in play.

Nah, I see it this way:

A supersoldier
A faux Iron Man (without Stark's mega ego)
A super-assassin
An android Thor as good as acknowledged as his equal (coupled with one of 6 most powerful relics of the damn universe)
An all-rounded witch whose abilities are so ill-defined within the MCU it's awesome
A human quinjet who can compensate for some of the team members' lack of maneuverability

:oldrazz:

The new team is also more emotionally/mentally stable:

-Cap is Cap.
-BW has a guilt-complex, but she's not actually mentally unstable.
-War Machine seems pretty well-adjusted.
-Ditto on Falcon.
-Vision seems zen/philosophical about everything.
-Scarlet Witch is probably the most "troubled" one. But even she doesn't seem nearly as unstable as her comic book counterpart, and she's got vision there to help with that ;)
