Agent Carter Agent Carter General Discussion Thread - Part 1

Question: Bridget Regan’s “No. 1 fan” here, hoping you can tell something about her Agent Carter role! —Bill
Ausiello: The White Collar/Jane the Virgin actress debuts this Tuesday as Dottie Underwood, “another one of these kind of softly spoken women who comes along and starts to have a relationship with Peggy,” says Hayley Atwell. “But the thing with Peggy is that she can’t really get close to a lot of the people that are living and working outside of her secret life, so we see her struggling to really want to form intimacy with these women…. You see that she’s kind of missing out on being girly.”

Just saw episode 3. It's still dull. Needs conflict. And by the way, Leviathan is not a villain. It's an organization. Damn, Marvel keeps screwing up with villains. For 8 episodes, they are fillering up the episodes. People will get too tired to follow this show. It should be more dynamic.

.. you do realize peggy has no clue what leviathan is yet right? Person, place, thing, idea, or organization. She has no clue

We're three episodes in - on a season of eight episodes - and we still know little of Leviathan. We and she should know more. The story doesn't move along.

Watch a film noir.

The show is handling the story perfectly paced

I don't agree. If it keeps delayin' development and keeps focusing on minor characters, it will lose interest. That's why some many shows are cancelled. They hint at secrets throughout the seasons and they're only willin' to reveal them on the last episodes. Agents of shield got better once they revealed the secrets mid season and got the story moving.

This series was promoted as Peggy going around tracking down weapons, and in this episode she found ALL of them that haven't been sold already. That is a pretty major development, not just water treading. And we got a clue that it is very likely that someone within reach of Peggy is an assassin, which is a pretty important development in the personal life colliding with business life department.

I said in the episode thread I think it's the ballerina that just moved in. Bit too much of a coincidence. Plus the shooter is blonde.

Leviathan/Russian/Ballerina Black Widow?

The blonde that was introduced in yesterday's episode is [BLACKOUT]the person that killed Krzeminski[/BLACKOUT] . I'm calling it.

I hope she's not Yellena Bolova.... i'd much rather hope to see scarjo face off against her someday

Saw Agent Carter Episode 3, and just thought I would mention that there was a character that fights Peggy on board the Heartbreaker boat. His name is Jerome Zandow and in the comics there is a character that appeared in Captain America Comic #5 called Zandow the Strong Man and he is affiliated with Tidbolt's (A.K.A. The Ringmaster of Death's) circus. I mean Zandow does not look like a circus performer in the show, but I think it is nice they are adding all these little nods to practically unknown characters.

Anyone have anything regarding "The Heartbreaker" boat. Was kind of hoping the symbol would tie to something, but I have a feeling it was just created for the show.

Argh stupid groomer is taking forever. I want to watch ep3 but don't want to stop in the middle to go pick up the dog.

Wow, nice catch. Come to think of it, I think the SSR agents mentioned something about the guy having been in the circus and having a long criminal record...
As for the symbol for the boat not leading to anything, maybe not, but I think I saw several zodiac symbols in Peggy's book when she was researching it. Foreshadowing? ;)

it was a book of symbols.. and there's only 12 zodiac symbols. there were plently more non-zodiac symbols in there too lol

let me hang on to these miniscule references, however improbable they are :cmad::o:oldrazz:

Guess I wasn't the only one who noticed the shooter was a woman and seems like the blonde "dotty" might be the shooter. I hope it turns out to be her waitress friend instead though. Or the blonde would be kind of a weak twist. Only good to come from dotty being the villain, is Dotty from "Iowa" could be mistaken for the blonde in the photo that the SSR are looking for. So when she dies at the scene of a crime dotty is assumed as the blonde the SSR was looking for and Peggy is off the hook.

Dottie is Brigette Regan (out of Legend of the Seeker) she wont have a small part. (then again the thief didn't last long).

I was disappointed Ron Farva didn't have a bigger role after his cameo in episode 2

add in killing off Krzeminski, and an actor's profile doesn't seem to necessarily mean much on this show
seems people just want to be involved

i honestly didn't even recognize Chad Micheal Murray until i saw his credit in the episode this week...

Made a SSR I.D. All you have to do is add a black and white pic of yourself. :D

A flub from The Hollywood Reporter's writer or the truth? About one of the female roles in the show, won't say more until you look under the tag to keep it vague.

It follows Peggy as she builds her career as a secret agent while the hero is frozen in ice. James D'Arcy portrays Edwin Jarvis, while Enver Gjokaj is Agent Daniel Sousa, Chad Michael Murray is Agent Jack Thompson and Lyndsy Fonseca plays spy Angie Martinelli. Dominic Cooper reprises his role as Howard Stark, debuting the upcoming fourth episode. Longtime writing partners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters (ABC's Resurrection) serve as showrunners.
