Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - S2E6 "A Fractured House"

so I presume Talbot is good but senator ward is bad

Talbot is certainly on Shield's side, we don't know Ward's true intentions yet but at the end he condemed Hydra even admitting his brother was a part of them, and cleared the Shield name as bad guys.

was there a before credits scene for Agents of Shield, or did it get replaced by the Age of Ultron clip?

There was. It was essentially a teaser for next week (similar to Lorelei last year). It was a guy getting a tattoo and it's the alien map.

So who does that make Vanko in IM 2?Crimson Dynamo?

I dunno... in the comics, sometimes there are multiple characters with the same name (especially for second-string villains, like Whiplash). But it doesn't matter too much, since they just called him Scarlotti on AOS.

Rolled my eyes a little at Ward escaping. I mean you knew it was coming but damn it wasn't even five minutes.

This episode was the best of the season IMO. It brought back some of that Turn, turn, turn level intensity. I don't understand how anyone could think Ward isn't an interesting character.

Fyi, I don't think a single senator has the power to single handedly to clear the name of an organization that was just supposedly a national threat.

Or Grant Ward is really just that bad and his brother's fine. It's hard to truly get a sense of things. Certainly, Grant Ward is a sociopath. Whether that came from family abuse is harder to tell. Whether Senator Ward did this to help him escape or whether he escaped on his own remains to be seen. Finally, whether he escaped because there was an opportunity, because he was afraid of his brother, or some other reason also remains to be seen.

As a matter of tactics, they probably shouldn't have told him why they were transferring him, but I imagine he'd figure it out anyway.

So who does that make Vanko in IM 2?Crimson Dynamo?

He was always a combination of both. However, Vanko is the name of the Crimson Dynamo, so I've always leaned more towards calling him that over Whiplash. Either way, we can all agree he isn't Scarlotti. On the other hand, by combining them, Whiplash as Scarlotti wasn't likely to appear in an Iron Man movie. That freed him up here.

Wasn't really interested in the baddies this week.Although the dust-maker effects were pretty cool.

Mockingbird in action was pretty cool. The dude she kissed was "red underwear dude" in The Wolverine,am I right?

The stuff I came to see was with Ward and I'm glad he's finally outta that damn cell. The scene with him and Coulson went down pretty well, but I expected it to be longer.Simmons saying "the next time,I'll kill you" felt kinda off.If she had registered any emotion other than the one she chose ("Grim determination") I probably would have bought it.

Seeing how the real Simmons was more a hindrance to Fitz (unlike the make believe one,who could successfully finish his sentences) and how she admitted it,was pretty well done. The scene with her & Fitz was good.

Well, now that Ward is out and presumably a free agent,it'll be interesting to see what he does.

Oh and the Avengers clip: :hubba

This is a stupid question...but forgive me because I was incredibly distracted during this entire episode...

Who was getting a tattoo at the end?

Oh...and since they mentioned that that guys grandfather invented that "turn to dust" weapon in the 40's, we can expect to see the grandfather on Agent Carter...

I assume that's Sen. Ward saving his own skin and making himself look nice at the expense of Hydra and Grant.

So,is Coulson going after Tattoo Man next?

"Excuse me,sir.I need you to remove your shirt and come with me so I can read your body.":woot:

Correct me if I'm wrong...but wasn't Whiplash used in Iron Man 2?

So, he'd be Backlash, just to avoid two characters using the same name...
it was Whiplash and Dynamo in IM2 not just Whiplash

According to Marvel's website...the bad guy in Iron Man 2 was called Whiplash. It's so weird that they felt the need to have Whiplash but wanted Crimson Dynamo's alter ego so they mixed it all up in a terrible soup.

But yeah...if Marvel is calling him Whiplash (and they are), then I'd prefer to call this new guy Backlash, which was apparently his name at some point.

Maybe Hydra just reuses the Whiplash tech in some way? Doesn't have to be the same person

Oh, and can we safely assume that this tattoo guy is the same person that scratched it on the baby Jesus painting?

That's cool that there are THREE main villains this season!
