Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - S2E7 "The Writing on the Wall"

Or they just don't actually introduce the "big name" Inhumans on the show. They instead just make up some new ones for the show, or pick some more obscure ones from the comics to use.

really good episode once again. Are there any comic blueprints of Attilan out there somewhere that could maybe be comparted to what they gave us here?

I'm not a comic reader so I know practically nothing about the Inhumans, so I'm really intrigued by this season and where it could possibly head. I like learning about the comic world while I watch rather than reading about things beforehand.

Seems like the alien was maybe aiming for the Moon and crashlanded on Earth instead. Possibly why he was trying to give everyone the "map" to the city he was aiming for.

I'm still happy they haven't yet shown Phil or Skye to be aliens, I really want Phil to stay Phil and Skye to stay Skye, but I'm pretty sure something big will be revealed about who Skye is somewhere down the line. As long as it's done as well as everything else on the show has been done I won't be upset.

Since the majority believe that Skye is Daisy Johnson and her dad is Mister Hyde...it seems possible that anyone from the comics can be adapted to be Inhumans or hybrids of some sort sort...descendants or whatever. That would explain all of the gifted people the show has come across.

I'm seeing people mention that they name-dropped Micro from Punisher...anyone got a quote that backs that up?

When Skye shows Coulson the crime scene photos with the carvings on the body, she says "one of my contacts, Micro, who is in to crime scene photos..." or something to that effect. I rewound and put on closed captions to make sure I heard it correctly, and she definitely said Micro. We're assuming that she is referring to Punisher's Microchip character.

They live on the moon presently in the comics, but where they are in the Marvel Cinematic Universe remains to be seen.

Yeah, that's what I meant but I must not have been clear. I was speculating that maybe the city that they now have a blueprint for will be an abandoned city on earth, and when they find the city in the show the powers that be (the producers, future directors, etc) will not have had to cast any Inhumans yet because the city will be empty, with it's former residents having moved to to the moon (in the MCU... speculatively.)

Heh, where have you been? They're in New York in the comics right now, on the remains of the city in the Hudson river. Before that, the Attilan floated over the city for months, and before that in deep Kree space for the longest time after leaving the moon.
What? Missed alot of that too. I thought they were still in the Blu area of the moon too

Show off! :whatever:

Anyway, I can see from this map where AoS got their thing from. I don't have the computer savvy to upload and show you guys but trust me, I can see it in my head.

Long story short. During the recent Infinity event, Thanos invaded Attilan. He and Black Bolt had a confrontation during which Attilan was destroyed and the remnants fell into NY harbor. BB is MIA, so Medusa is in charge currently and was able to somewhat rebuild the city in the middle of NY harbor. They're calling it New Attilan now. Also, BB released the Terrigen mists onto Earth, causing humans with latent Inhuman genes to transform. Medusa is basically offering them safe haven.

is there a link? I'll do it lol

There ARE alot of different pictures of Attilan too. THAT image is an OLD one

My gawd man! Dude is always MIA it seems. I remember he was MIA after Annihilation.

Not that I know of. Honestly, if you look at the map you showed in circles and triangles, you can see it. Or maybe I'm just weird and thirsty like that.

HMM I missed that. I did get some of the newer Thanos books and recall the Son of Thanos somewhere with the Inhumans, think it was Avengers

Thanos has a son?! For someone who loves to kill and worships Death, he sure does procreate a lot.

lol ah okay yeah that I do see. I can TRY to do a 3d model with Google Sketchup once I have a few shots of that city they had on the show

cool thanks Vartha! Now we wait until someone uploads a shot from tonights episode and see if they're comparable.

What other types of 'fictional' cities are around in the comics? Atlantis, Wakanda, The Savage Land, (not sure if that's a city or the correct name of what I'm thinking of lol.) maybe Xandar or Knowhere from GotG?

Well he's been hanging out with the Illuminati over in Hickman's New Avengers book. It's just that most people in the MU don't know that. And he turned up in the latest issue of Inhumans. Turns out that Maximus is using his mind-control powers to keep BB under his thrawl.

Yes, his son's name is Thane. He's an Inhuman and Thanos wanted to kill him. Thane was actually the one who finally defeated Thanos at the end of Infinity (although he's back now).

i don't know much about the inhumans but they're an ancient race right? i can see the more prominent inhumans (black bolt and family) still living in attilan but over the years a few of them have left to go live among humans and their descendents are the mcu equivalent of mutants. so agents of shield could feature these inhuman descendents on the show without fully delving into the main inhumans

So does this make the Obelisk the Terrigen bomb? That's what I've been thinking, and this helps that idea. I'm not all that familiar with a lot of the Inhumans stories, but that seems plausible.

That's what happened in the comics. Medusa left Attilan and ended up in New York, teaming up with the Frightful Four. Other members of the royal family went to track her down and force her back to the hidden city. Black Bolt even spent time living among humans. But their inability to survive the rampant air pollution in the outside world eventually forced them to relocate the city to the blue area of the Moon.

(Frankly, I think that the Inhumans were banished to the Moon in the 80s because Marvel didn't know what to do with them.)
