Does anyone think Centipede is a special project that was started by AIM, Aldrich Killian's company, after the Extremis tests that happened in Iron Man 3.

I think most everyone feels it's AIM-related considering the Extremis connection. It could also be a rogue group no longer with the company, rather than a special project within AIM itself. Really hoping we get some answers before the break.

i think it may be HYDRA using Extremis mixed with other stuff

Nazis had that ideal of the perfect superior being, and it looks that's what Centipede is trying to achieve

Plus, Coulson is a fan of Cap, who fought HYDRA

My own theory is that the cybernetics group that was controlling Aquila and the Englishman is HYDRA, and that Van Chat is a pawn for them. Currently, their goal is to acquire alien tech & science. Meanwhile Centipede is an independently-funded AIM splinter group which may or may not also be working for or against HYDRA.

I still think well soon find out tht aim and hydra are badically one and the same. Or at least aim is a branch of still hidden hydra

I think AIM will prove to be independent. . . but Centipede will be an aspect of Hydra. If it were just AIM, they wouldn't need to play around with the inferior Centipede research work, they could just use the ( superior ) Extremis they already had. What Centipede has been doing reeks of "We have scattered pieces of various superpower projects, now we need to somehow get them working."

hmmm... I agree. Although a lot of AIMs initial work on Extremis could have been destroyed in IM3 or shortly afterwards. AIM just might to have to start over from almost the beginning of the stabilization process again, with Kilian and Hanson gone.

Is this the same as the EW one posted yesterday (that I couldn't get to play)?

Yes. It's Po watching his minions do their thing. Marvel sent it out today in an email.

("Po" makes me think of a roly-poly panda. :oldrazz:)

Baron Von Strucker?

Oh and the guy he corrects is that Ward's older brother?

Where is all this speculation that one of the Extremis soldiers is Maynard coming from? Not that I think there's anything wrong with it, I just wondered if there'd been some hint/rumor about that being the case.

Not sure how the poster came up with this idea...
i rechecked the episode description to see if there was any character named maynard? (i think that was ward's brother's name in the other episode).. but they was only two haywards

So our buddy RogerWardell2 (the newer guy) tweeted that we will soon see the events/aftermath of Iron Man 3 on the show. Which, if true, means people owe me and spideyboy111 some apologies!! Lol. Since I've always though we were pre IM3.

And if (probably when) the tweet turns out to be false I'll go back in my corner lol.

@AgentsofSHIELD tweeted this picture. I'll leave it to others to speculate on whether it means anything.

There was already an episode that dealt with the aftermath of TDW, and that's post-IM3.
