You know, it's disappointing that they didn't seem to care to further address the fact that Mike still had his powers, even though he didn't have any injections in what has probably been months. It was just used as a fake out, and kinda lame.

Thanks for the info. Seems like it indicates that Steve is also in charge of a lot of missions as well, unless I'm reading it wrong, which does change my perception on things.

I just thought that Steve just waits for any new mission that's automatically assign to him by Fury.

Even in the trailer Steve says that he is so busy doing missions that he can't even have a love life. So I don't know why you still bring up this "Where are they?" stuff.

It was lazy writing, yeah. Thats the problem. Its a bit silly to see this "elite team" make such dumb decisions. Like going in with only 3 agents and one gun.

During that fight I was thinking, why don't they just shoot those guys? They were wearing armor but Coulson and the agents could have shot them in (usually) non-lethal places like their arms and legs to take them down. The writing was really weak there.

Another weak spot was Skye's pathetic breakdown. That character hurls insults and snark at the others on a continual basis but fell apart the instant someone finally snapped at her perpetual childishness. This was after she spent the entire previous episode insulting May and running her down to Coulson and Ward. Skye is supposedly 24 but acts like a tween-age drama queen. May was right: Skye shouldn't be there.

That made her even more annoying.

Mike explained that the dose of drugs that FitzSimmons concocted somehow changed the way the cocktail of extremis and other serums worked on his body and permanently prevented him from exploding. Assuming that he isn't dead they can address it in more depth later. With only 44 minutes of story time, less some for the credits, it may have been hard to get everything in. I didn't mind the fake-out because it made the ending that much more shocking.

That made her even more annoying.

Skye is on the show for comic relief and for hotness.

She'll also be revealed as may coulson's lovechild. She will display her badassery soon enough (via wire work, CGI and stuntwork). Just you wait and see.

No less annoying than Rick bawling and drooling on himself in The Walking Dead.

It does seem sometimes like I'm enjoying the show despite the creator's best efforts to ensure otherwise.

It's a very frustrating show. I can understand why it can't be a cameo farm like Smallville or Arrow, but I don't get the impression that the show's creators have any love of the source material. I find myself saying almost every episode "Maybe s/he's ............ from the comics! Oh, never mind.

And in the episode when May's hostage rescue was told by Fitz-Simmons, Ward and Coulson - why didn't they SHOW us the rescue with comic images? You could have the Fitz-Simmons exaggerated version shown in a Leifeld-esque style with lots of pouches, with the drawings becoming more true to life as we got to the true story. The show should be embracing its roots like Feige and company do in the MCU.

The show's writers are hacks.

Did they bring real guns with them? I thought they assumed that the Night-Night guns would do the trick.

That made her even more annoying.

Yes, but the most annoying part of it was that the scene was calculated to gin up sympathy for Skye. In Repairs, Skye spent the whole episode insulting and demeaning May without cause, starting with that "warm and fuzzy" crack and including, "She needs to get laid." All this while whining to Coulson that she was the person best suited to approach Hannah because she's so nice. May wasn't allowed to respond to Skye's insults because she didn't hear most of that nonsense.

But what May said to Skye is absolutely true. They were prepping for a dangerous mission, which meant there was no time for Skye's selfish mewling about her long-lost mommy. It's annoying to see the character who was in the right setup to look like a bully for no reason.

You could have the Fitz-Simmons exaggerated version shown in a Leifeld-esque style...

The minute this show adopts a "Liefeld-esque" style for anything it will deserve immediate cancellation. Also, if it ever ventures into such gimmicky territory you can be sure that the producers will be instantly slammed from all sides, and deservedly so.

THank you! I'm not allowed to complain about Skye for some reason because I hate her but man does she not fit in on the team. She's just a waste of a space. This is where I'm hoping Joss steps in and kills a character and preferably it's here.

If I thought that a tv show from a comicbook company using comicbook images to creatively tell a story would cause you to clutch your pearls, I never would have troubled you with it.

The Skye fanatics tried to shout me down, too. Didn't work, shockingly enough. Just keep posting your opinions. As long as we're on topic and aren't attacking anyone (even though we get attacked) we're not breaking any rules.

My hope is that the writers are under the impression that Skye is the most popular character on the show. They're far more likely to kill her off if they think people care.

Skye's hot. She'll be on the show for as long as it runs.

Jesus, man. That's kind of cold.

That's kinda the point.Skye shouldn't be there. But Coulson wants her there. She's not a schooled agent like Fitz-Simmons or a hardened operative like Ward & May.

Childishness?Coulson is the one that dumped Skye's investigation matters on May when Skye (and May herself, quite frankly) didn't want her to be any part of it in the first place.Instead of trying to bite her head off,she could've used a little tact.

But it's all about "teh drama" which is why we watch.:woot:

Fitz-Simmons also made fun of Ward behind his back.It is something in human nature to have such reactions to stiff personalities like May and Ward.Don't act like it's just something Skye has done.:whatever:

May can't even spell tact, much less display it towards anything with more feelings than a concrete wall. She's about as sensitive as a bag of hammers to the face.

Your logic is irrelevant. Hate Skye. Hate her. HATEHATEHATE.
