Yeah it's the first time they actually name AIM. That made me happier than it probably should have.

Me too with the story of extremis, in Iron man 3, Extremis have a problem of stabilization and not in agents of shield thanks to Scorch.

i think the newspaper with a Dec2013 date is the only info that is affecting the accuracy of the timeline

New year 1999/2000 + 13 years ( Tony Stark said that) = december 2012/2013. And with the events of agents of shield it is obvious now.

The newspaper, nobody is supposed to read it and we saw it one second it is full of mistakes.

Only other things against it being post IM3 is why did they never mention the president being kidnapped or the VP being corrupt, or Killian, or te Mandarin who broadcasted nationally, or any mention of Stark?

I mean, yeah, it does make the most logical sense that IM3 already happened before the show started, but why hasn't one actual event from the film been touched upon? All we have is a seemingly early/defunct version of Extremis and now an AIM name drop. So much happened in IM3 that would have resonated in the real world and yet they've given no mention of it.

Not that it really matters either way, but the fact that they haven't given any actual clarification of the timeline events yet kinda bugs me.

Yeah, that's also possible that Fury kept it hush-hush, we'll find out eventually so I can wait.

It makes soooo much more sense to me for IM3 to have taken place in Dec 2012. IMHO, the date in the IM3 newspaper should be noted as a continuity error (easily explainable as being a mis-print off the press) and everything in the timeline falls right into place. Again, IMHO. Certainly, it take care off 85% of my issues here.

Well, Extremis has been around since the 90s in some form, that's seen in IM3 opening. Like I said, I'm sure we are post IM3, that's make the most sense, but it still isn't 100% clear. We'll see eventually though.

Yes but nobody know that extremis create super soldier before Iron Man 3 but it is know in aos otherwise Maya will be in jail in iron man 3. And Extremis was not stabilized in Iron Man 3 but it finally is in AOS. And AIM isn't a evil organization for the world before Iron man but it is in Aos. It is 100% clear for me.

Man I hope this isn't a Skye centered show. Well, here's hoping the show is Whedon-esqe and he kills off a character................preferably Skye. But He'd probably kill of Ming just because I like her!

We're going to at least learn more about Skye's mother, as per the preview.
