Well, if we do get a major Avengers to pop up soon, then I hope it's Evans or Hemsworth.

And honestly, given on how Coulson isn't scheduled to be in any known films within the foreseeable future, we may never get a chance to see Coulson reunited with Thor on screen..or ever..

It would suck if they cant squeeze him in the Avengers Age of ultron..... just to add closer to the Avengers revelation of Phil being alive.... And we need the long awaited confrontation of Fury and Coulson.....This needs to happen to close out the 1st season

Perhaps there is a possibility:

The first scene of the next episode will show Fury escaping the Winter Soldier as he does in the film and then meeting with Coulson?! Before he then goes to Cap's apartment as he does in the film?

So basically in the series we see a scene in between what we do in TWS?

Yes I was wondering about that!
I know Fury used something to carve a hole through his car and down into the sewer below and then turn up at Cap's apartment.
I actually thought that was a lmd and it would have been an interesting way to explain how he was assumed to be dead given how he was walking around later.
I thought both Widow and Cap were Level 6 agents?

Why do the directors of this show hate light?

The show is so dark. I notice that in a lot of scenes, half the actors' faces are black, as in one half of the face is lit, the other half is a shadow, what's the point?

Maybe it's a stylistic choice, or has a purpose relating to ideas about darkness and light within the series?

Odin tells us that before the light entered the universe there was darkness. Half-light, half dark is kind of like Malakith.
Malakith wasn't aware of the light until it entered his view, and when he realized there were others in the universe he started his war with Bor.

Blackout is coming to the show, he's been described as having a soul that is shrouded in darkness, and light entered his life when he heard the cello. The Pegaus project was involved in dark energy research. The berserker staff shines a light on a person's darkest memories. Light and dark could symbolize the unseen war that's been going on over Shield's soul. They're on the "front lines".

Maybe it represents an eternal struggle between good and evil. The battle for Shield's soul could be occurring across multiple planes of existence from the quantum level upwards. Jane says the Asgardian soul forge tech works by looking at "quantum fields". A weird improbable alignment of factors could be causing this shading, what we might call magic. Lol i'm not sure if it even relates to anything.

Half of the characters on Agents of Shield could be dark, and half of Shield could be light..

I think the ONLY thing right now that's bothering me, regarding the MCU, is the fact that none of the Avengers (sans Natasha and Clint perhaps) are aware that Coulson is alive.

I still can't believe that Rogers doesn't even know, even though Coulson has been shown going in and out of SHIELD bases.

We're to believe that there are thousands and thousands of people in SHIELD, and that it's an organization that spans the world. It's not entirely unreasonable for Coulson to slip through the cracks with Rogers/Widow/Barton.

Only a handful of people have been given that intel.

Cap knows. He's an Agent level 8.

No he's not. He's a Level 6.

So he has no access to that data.

He is Level 8. You can see it at the beggining of CA:TWS, when He and Fury enter to the elevator.

In CA:TWS they specifically call him and Widow [BLACKOUT]Level 6.[/BLACKOUT]

Nope. Pretty sure He's level 8. I guess I'll have to see the movie again.

They also say he's level in Marvel Wiki, but I know it is not the best source.

I saw them flash the Level 8 [BLACKOUT]when he got into the elevator[/BLACKOUT], but him and Natasha also were called Level 6 at one point.

Either it's a mix-up in the script, or maybe him and Fury were going down to "level 8"?

Coulson (and May, to a lesser extent) makes sense. Ward makes zero sense.

I thought the exact same (this discussion came up in a CA:TWS or AoU thread a couple days ago).

Someone tried explaining it as "Ward is given that clearance when he joins Coulson's team because Coulson's resurrection requires Level 7 clearance". In the first episode, Coulson even makes mention of that in his "Welcome to Level 7" line thing.

I dunno, maybe they're just messing with us, knowing how serious some of us fans can get haha.

Just to make it more dramatic. Basic lighting teaches that more dramatic = more low-key (high contrast). It's supposed to be more moody, even if I don't think that's always the case. That's why lots of assembly-line comedies that come out are high-key with little-to-no contrast. It's just a technique that some film/TV crews can go way overboard with.

After watching CA:TWS yesterday, I personally took it that

He was level 6, and level 8 is what was required to access the area Fury was taking him too so Fury had to do the override.

Ahhh this makes some sense.

That still doesn't add up due to Fitz and Simmons being Level 5.

could be the reason why they show that extended scene last night when Fury tells his car to get him off the map.....good point...but if we dont get it next Tuesday....then its a moot point.

I really can't wait to see what you all think of Winter soldier and How it's going to effect AoS. ;)
