Garrett didn't ask her that, it was Blake.Something a friend noticed -
in Ep 16 when Garett keeps asking May if she's a scorpio. Is he asking if she's a member of the Zodiac?
The Zodiac is a criminal organisation in the comics of which Fury, Edison Po (Poseidon anagram), Garett and Von Strucker are members. It has strong links to the Avengers, the Defenders and Alpha flight, which was also referenced this episode.
Surely not a coincidence?

That still doesn't add up due to Fitz and Simmons being Level 5.
This show should just be an anthology show with a different cast and setting each season. So this season is Shield. Next season could be Nova Corps, etc.
And Skye's level 1. And for most of the season was a consultant/monitored prisoner.
Obviously they were allowed access to that knowledge on need to know basis. Coulson is their boss, so they need to know he's alive.
I don't know why Ward was promoted though, aside from him being one of the senior members of the team so maybe he needed that clearance to be approved. Remember he was initially supposed to be the field leader since Coulson was the boss and May refused to be into the field at first.
Though it was mentioned in some side material that level 6 and up need to be field qualified, so scientist operatives like Fitz and Simmons can never go above level 5 and that's probably why they weren't promoted too.
Fury and Hill stepping down really caught me off guard. I am confused as to their intentions (at Marvel). They are going to rebuild Shield, I think. But only because renaming the show would be.... odd. I mean someone is going to have to handle the stuff they do atUNITShield. There will be a lot of Hydra cleanup actions I guess depends a lot on who the clairevoyant actually is. Honestly, I expected a bigger change. I don't know what I expected but Shield still seems to exist. Hydra is there but small. So... *shrugs*
Just because they're preparing a season 2 doesn't mean that when season 1 is done it won't be complete. While Joss Whedon was working on The Avengers he was thinking up ideas for Avengers 2. In fact, before he even started filming he knew that he wanted Ultron to be the villain in the sequel. It's odd that they're "teeing up season 2" since that's the opposite of Joss Whedon's MO. He's been pretty adamant about his dislike for non-endings. I guess his brother doesn't share that opinion.
Season 2 won't have to introduce much. Now they can just tell stories. My hope for season 2 is that they a) get new writers and b) work on the pacing. This season eventually got better, but it was way too slow to start.

let's see how many people notice a change I just made lol
Wish we had a Hi-Res of that shot!Loved last nights episode. The classic deathlock in x-ray was brilliant and looked great
The Captain America sneak peak was part of the episode. Similarly to the Captain America: TFA after credits scene. Was there an end scene after the commercial break, after Hand said "he's mine!"? It just ended there for me.
