I'm down for this series as long as it shows stuff like how the alien got in the guest house, that seismic event etc. I already know how the story plays out, so they have to reveal something that will feed into the future for me to care. If it's just a bunch of her solo adventures, then I'll pass.

? well every episode can't leech off the movies... they've gotta be there own solo thing to last. it's just important that they keep introducing characters we probably wont ever see in the movies as well as feed off the movie mythology.

If they do an Agent Carter show, I think the best route would be to have the HYDRA infiltration as a minor subplot, as a nod to present-day story. The main focus could be annother threat that was greater at that time, like for example, a Soviet superpower-program, or something.

If its 1946, honestly, I doubt Hydra infiltration will be an issue, aside from possible Zola himself being brought on board cautiously. Its just too soon; the infiltration was a much more gradual thing.

I really have to give this show props. Despite its lukewarm start, it really has become the SHIELD show I always wanted. It beautifully expands on things in the MCU, it feels like the same SHIELD as in the movies, there are events directly affecting other events, things set up that pay off very well, characters that are likeable, enjoyable, and three-dimensional, etc.

It really sucks that the last episode had the lowest ratings, even with its ties to TWS. I really wish a lot of viewers went back to it and gave it another chance.

Final numbers were adjusted slightly up, I believe. So it wasn't actually the lowest rated ep.

Not necessarily, but it does mean they lost a lot of its audience in the process. I even told a few of my friends who gave up on the show that it gets much better, but they still haven't felt like going back and giving it another shot.

A few things.

-Hulu had the episode up for a few hours morning of. A lot of people watched it. If 10 Nielsen people watched it on Hulu and not Live that could be the difference in it getting a 1.9 instead of a 2.0

-People knew of the tie-in of TWS and didn't get out to see TWS, so they held off watching it. Which ABC/Disney kind of figured given the fact that they are actually running an encore of the episode before the new episode this week.

Now add those factors in with what it has been getting since it returned after the December hiatus.

2.1
2.2
2.2
2.2
1.8
2.1
2.0

Live rating isn't spectacular but it's been steadily solid in ratings, especially given two of the shows it has been going up against. Also it hasn't been under a 3.2 in the Live+7 Day DVR. It is also been the best rated M18-34 on Tuesday all season, which outside of A18-49 is its targeted demo.

So while it's not a smash live viewing hit, it's still a hit by today's means of watching a show.

It is nice that it's hit it's stride now and found it's footing. Which is what I expected anyway, early on I wasn't as upset as others were. Figured eventually it would reach this point.

They're re-airing the episode at 8pm this Tuesday, with the new one directly afterwards. With and extra week for more people who didn't want to have the movie spoiled to see TWS, I'm curious to see what the rating will be this week.

Did anyone notice we still don't have a synopsis or guest cast list for next week's episode ("The Only Light in the Darkness")?

I think it's likely that that episode will have Amy Acker as the Cellist.

Even then, it's still one of the lowest rated episodes.

It hasn't aired over in the Uk yet...:cwink:

They may not think that important but from my point of view thats one episode I'd probably watch on both the Friday and Saturday when its repeated as 4 on demand doesn't seem interested in airing that series online.:yay:

Haha :D

I think Agent Carter would be pointless now. We all know how it would all end up. If they had like Zola as part of the cast with the whole "can we trust him" arc it would be totally tensionless because we'd already know the end result.

It would really just be an excuse to show the Cap 1 characters again for a little while.

Agent Carter is set in 1946, so they can have stories that can "Re-write history" so to speak.

Yeah no. The Zola thing wouldn't be the main plot anyway, so saying that the entire show is pointless just because of that is silly.
Well IF there is an Agent Carter series you also have the stories for Hank Pym Giant-Man/Ant-Man, and Howard's death that could last several Episodes each from both the 60's and then 70's. I can see 3-D man for the 50's.
Agent Carter could be the show to past.

Who the heck is 3D man? Shouldn't all men be "3D man", unless you're Flat Man?

There are loads of awesome stories to tell about the formation of SHIELD, so I really hope they do it. That, and who could say no to more Hayley Atwell?

the show could be awesome. Just keep Jeph Loeb far away.
