True, but wouldn't they just interpret that as HYDRA releasing all of SHIELD's secrets?

I do think it's weird that the show is living in a different moral universe, so to speak, where SHIELD is a good thing. That's weak. But it's not actually a plot hole, is it?

No it's not. From interviews with the movie writers, they were given the ok to basically tear down SHIELD. But I guess we'll have to wait until Avengers to find out what that means in the movieverse.

I think this is an excellent opportunity to kill off Skye. But we know that won't happen til we find out what her powers are.

That would be a waste of a good character

I still think Ward's doing a Triple agent thing

That would be dumb as hell. It's clear he has been working with Hydra for awhile and if he is a triple agent then SHILED should have known they were infiltrated by Hydra. As it was, they were completely caught off-guard.

He's either directly murdered or help to murder over a dozen SHIELD agents, if not more. He's a bad guy.

Ward is leaps and bounds more interesting as a bad guy rather than a good guy

does anyone know when the Agents of Shield comic book is supposed to be out?

Wait, what? What is gained, at this point, by killing of Skye?

Well, it would make xeno (and apparently samsnee) happy. :oldrazz:

Just came in to ask if anyone got an easter egg vibe from the prison break tonight at The Fridge: the camera lingers on one guy in particular (he has no lines), and Garrett says something about "go and chase your dreams." That's *gotta* be a setup for some kinda villain, but I don't have any idea who. Anybody got any spitballs they wanna throw at this one....?

Well, that answers my previous question. The guy Garrett broke out of jail (one of them, anyway) is Blackout, who can be seen using "darkforce" against Coulson in that promo clip.

He's Blackout, and in the next episode he's going after Coulson's cellist.

It also looks like Skye knows about Ward.

Here's how I'd like to see them drag that out over many more episodes, though: Ward denies everything, and makes Skye look obsessively paranoid. Would be easy to believe, since just about all of them are on edge, paranoid, and don't trust each other right now. So maybe Ward turns the tables and makes them mistrust *Skye* instead of him....?

The actor making an appearance that Chloe Bennett was gushing about I don't see him (or her if it's Scar Jo) appearing until the Post-Credits.

Unless of course, she was gushing over Patton Oswalt and/or Adrian Pasdar

He'll likely pop up in the tag for the season finale.

First off, what I wanted to know is why did Agent Hill hire Agent Ward to be on the team to begin with without knowing he is with Hydra? This question has been bothering me since Sunday and I am sorry, as much as I love Maria Hill, how could she be that stupid? That stupid to trust him? Which leads me to thinking that what if she really did know? What if she is in some way part of hydra but that doesn't make any sense because of her role in TWS...she helped cover up Fury's death...she helped Cap and Falcon take down the Hellicarriers... I don't see how she could be part of Hydra...and now with her working at Starks Industries... I dunno... Something just doesn't add up because Agent Hill is supposed to be smart...and how Agent Ward could slip by her undetected as a Hydra Agent...who the hell knows...maybe she just didn't see it coming.

Eh? Countless Hydra agents slipped past Hill, Couslon, and even Fury himself; heck they slipped past all the loyal SHIELD members. What's one more?

Well...now that you put it that way...I guess...but still...it bothers me that Hill let one slips by her undetected... :(

Unless she thought between May and Coulson, they would know for sure whether he was Hydra or not?

Temporary insanity from having her art skills insulted?

Fury is supposedly a lot more protective and paranoid about things than Hill is and even he didn't know that his own good friend Alexander Pierce was one of Hydra's top agents.

On another note, given what was revealed in tonight's episode.... if members of SHIELD are being hunted down for questioning by US officials, then shouldn't that mean that even Captain America will be on the wanted list by the US?

The thing is, she really didn't know there was a Hydra within SHIELD to worry about in the first place. Also, he was Garrett's top pick. Garrett had a lot of clout with SHIELD and with Coulson. Ward makes a lot of sense when you're picking a team that Coulson would consider worthy. Ward's as capable as a agent can be without becoming an Avenger. He's trained and trusted by Garrett, who was a trusted friend of Coulson's and a legendary badass SHIELD agent. Unfortunately Garrett is an evil opportunist and Ward is his loyal lackey.
