I am a bit worried, especially after seeing Snyder say that he wanted to throw everything in.

(His quote in Empire Magazine). I hope the movie is focused, and isn't a convoluted mess; lot of ways this movie could be bad.

My guess is Kal is enraged by what Lex has done, is doing, or is about to do. Kryptonite may be involved somehow, but I don't get the impression that is not the real Kal.

Maybe Lex made that same joke about Superman looking like a freak dressed like a clown. :awesome:

How cloning works: Acquire DNA of a specimen --> Clone said specimen.

How SHH Bizarro-proponents think cloning works: Acquire Zod's body for DNA --> Clone comes out of Superman, for some inexplicable reason :whatever: (third step?? --> Evolves into Doomsday).

Not necessarily. remember we are dealing with comic book science here.

How about they get a sample of Superman's DNA. make an imperfect clone. It starts out fine but decays fast. But it does enough damage to Superman's reputation that the govt gives Lex the access he needs to get Zod's body and some Kryptonian tech. They discover the doomsday sequence that will fix the decay and allow them to use Zod for the host and actually Frankenstein him back to life.

:funny:

Superman: I've heard that one before!
Lex: Well it sounds better when it's coming from me! :argh:

Four pages of Bizarro talk because Superman didn't smile :whatever:

But for real, i hope that Leto's joker uses the signature Joker Gas in the DCEU.

That's one Joker weapon we unfortunately didn't see in The Dark Knight which would've been great.

I called it first. Batman v Bizarro: Dawn of Necksnapping :funny:

Sure, it's entirely possible that the movie ends up bloated.
I'm prepared for that and prepared to still enjoy it.

But, I think the mistakes of other films can be learned from and I think the odds of this one working are good because of that.
I think Snyder can, even with a long running time, keep the audience from getting bogged down by exposition. And if the script is good, then all the characters will fit naturally into the overall arc.

I don't know if I'm just saying this to reassure myself or what but I legitimately think there may be a more streamlined story going on than the worriers are expecting.

References, easter eggs and nods are just that. They aren't full scenes spent exploring Aquaman or Darkseid. They may be so small that unless you're in the know, it might not even register to you.

Where is that quote from Snyder about wanting to throw everything in? I don't see such a quote here.

I just don't buy this Bizzaro talk at all. I've seen nothing to suggest he's in this film.

Some poorly photoshopped magazine covers and a few snarl shots of Superman from the movie isn't enough to lend credence to Bizarro making an appearance for me.

And if that was the main movie that would be fine. Problem is we already have enough plot threads without that. The more things you add the more you take away from the appeal of the movie, and the main crux of the marketing...the two greatest heroes at odds duke it out both philosophically and physically!

Plus it is completely unnecessary, half the people already dont like Superman and the Government doesnt need him framed to not trust him or hold him responsible. The Government also doesnt need any machinations to give a rich industrialist who is helping rebuild Metropolis access to things he shouldnt have...and again where is Supes while fake Supes is destroying his rep and ticking off Batman? Lex has him? How does he escape? Why doesnt he go after Lex when he escapes? Why does he fight Batman?

Plus (to take down another version of the theory) why would you need to make tyrant Supes in the future Knightmare be a clone when you can actually have the real Supes be the tyrant since, you know, it is not real but an alternate future based on a vision/nightmare?

I think Empire was going for the look of Superman right before he runs to punch Batman. He is in attack pose. Also, I think they were putting both in their opposite pose. Superman is angry and ready to attack, Batman is standing their calm and stoic.

Could it be a clone...of course it could be. Hell it could be a bran muffin gone off its rocker. It most likely isnt though...it is just Superman. If there wasnt Doomsday (if only) then I could maybe see it, but even then it still feels like a copout.

Totally agree, I think it's a huge leap to explain things that don't really need explaining.

While I haven't bothered to indulge in the Bizarro talk, I do however understand that we've been discussing intensely non stop about this movie since July 2013, so covering everything from receding hairlines to the awful WB marketing to Bizzaro to Affleck eating pizza is expected.

A little off topic, I know, but has anyone ever noticed that in the end fight of Man Of Steel when Superman is holding zods head in place to try and stop him from blasting that family into dust that all Zod had to do was move his eyes to the right and he would have killed them?. Lol

CinemaSins: "General Zod was a clueless Kryptonian, DING!"

Is that how heat vision works in the MOS-verse, though? Clark had to move his head around to dispose of the scout ship. It's possible they can just shoot the energy straight ahead, regardless of where their eyes are looking at.
