Well, if there is a clone that becomes progressively more Bizarro-like then that cover is an Easter egg for it. That would be the reason. Not saying that's what it is! But that would be why.

That's true. He looks very Bizarro-like there... and I see you guys saying that they shouldn't have released this photo, but it got you to talk and speculate about it, which was most probably the intention.

Anyway, I doubt it's Bizarro, but think that Snyder chose to make a nod to the character by making kryptonite-poisoned Supes to appear that way. I mean, looking sickly and like one is barely standing pretty much equals zombie-like complexion and classic "monster pose".

Honestly I think what's getting people is the eyeliner look that's been in that cover and that recent poster.
It changes a person's look pretty heavily.

Actually it isn't ridiculous at all to discuss ideas of a superhero movie before release, and speculate theories before it comes out. It's pretty standard

That's not something you put on a cover for the masses. With two available covers, people will be expecting Superman on one and Batman on the other.

If on the clone theory still I'm thinking there could be some clone vs Batman fighting as well as real Superman vs Batman fighting. Batman doesn't know the real Superman, so if having dealt with a jerky clone before, I'm sure he's ready to take out the REAL Superman because of it after. More conflict and Lex sips a martini

Seeing Bats fight both Superman and his clone in the same movie would be pretty redundant.

I don't care what you want to blame it on. For some people's long term Superman fandom subconscious mind this does evoke some Bizarro Superman imagery in the head.

Even if totally wrong, it's not actually ridiculous to piece different pics or scenes as part of a theory. Also it's not like JUST that one pic is the basis for some of us speculating on the Bizarro/clone theory.

No I'm sure he had no say at what photo was used or any input at all. Regardless of that I'm not really hung up on that argument one way or another. If your thing is it's impossible, cool. It's really not something I'm speculating on or care much about to be honest. meh

To use a magazine's cover for theorizing is ridiculous because it's misleading. I'm all for the Bizzaro/clone theories when based on say, that footage of Supes and Lex. But people are reading wayyyy to much into a misleading photoshopped cover. Stick to analyzing trailers, clips and official pics and I'm cool with the speculation. I'm simply tired of people harping on a cover that is the creation of people outside of the film.

I was reading an old article from the end of last year that had a couple of quotes from Cavill and Affleck.
The one from Affleck was interesting because I've been under the impression that Bruce has been angry since before Superman arrived. But he implies that his rage is purely out of the death caused at the end of MoS...and probably being unable to do anything about it.

“He’s found himself in a place of harboring a tremendous amount of rage for Superman,” Affleck continued. “So it’s how he got there, and what that’s done to him, and what that’s done to people around him like Alfred, who are, I think, very scared and worried for him. It’s something that’s interesting and new.”

I could be reading into his words more than is there and he's talking about a very specific anger. He just worded it in a way that his state of mind during BvS is purely from Superman's fight with Zod.

How SHH Bizarro-proponents think cloning works: Acquire Zod's body for DNA --> Clone comes out of Superman, for some inexplicable reason (third step?? --> Evolves into Doomsday).

It's piecing story elements that we know, with various pics/scenes, and speculating on an idea. I'm not suggesting the theory from this one pic, NOBODY is. So people need to stop acting like that. The speculation of Bizarro idea at least for myself, is not based on just one pic such as this. I don't think it is for anyone else either really. It's super dismissive to assume that someone would base their theory on just this. Very short sighted view on the reasoning that was actually applied.

Makes you wonder with the details about Lex being interested in metahumans if he's experimenting with things like mind control.
Not saying that has anything to do with it, but the little bit of information means he could be working on a lot of projects.

But it is solely based on shots of Superman grimacing. It's not exactly compelling evidence.
