I don't like a lot of these critics, nothing to do with liking the film or not. So show me where I said they had to like it? End of the day critic reviews are opinions like everyone else. Only you can decide if you like a film or not. My point was people crying saying its a bomb or it sucks when they haven't seen it themselves. That's what I was getting at.

End of the day it's the box office that will make this a hit

If a critic likes this movie, would you label them pretentious?

The movie is not going to bomb, but it might have no legs which is a concern. This movie needs to make a billion. As to whether someone thinks it is going to suck, just because you place any thought into critics why are others not allowed to?

The doom monger get over reaction to reviews just shows some people's insecurities and her mentality to me. There are those that want everyone to love what they love so negative reviews scare them and those that jump onto the bandwagon of whatever is been said. I prefer to be in the camp of make my own mind up and hope the film is a success at the BO. Reviews mean nothing, it's the money that talks.

I think enough reviews have came in to know that this isnt getting a 70 or higher. It may not even get mid 60's.
Darn shame. Hopefully the GA audience will love it tho. thats who counts.

I used the word pretentious for the critics that I don't like. I was generalising and probably mistakenly so.

But you concentrate on that part of my list instead of the main point that I actually made in that people need to make their own minds up and stop OVERREACTING when the haven't seen the film themselves yet. Surely you can't deny that.

I didn't say people can't out stock in what critics say but to say things like SNYDER OUT or THE DCEU HAS FAILED is just ridiculous when they haven't even seen the movie.

I'd worry...but there's thus far nothing concrete to worry about. They're being really, really vague and there's no consistent complaint other than "It wasn't funny enough".

Sure, and if that's all it turns out to be, great. Having liked as many Snyder films as I've disliked, though, I have to acknowledge the possibility that this could be a dud. I'll find out Friday.

This film was ALWAYS going,to be divisive. Always. Deep down we all knew it. Zack Snyder makes jarring films that are not easily digested by regular movie goers. This is why we love Snyder. He pushes the envelope.

It does suck to see low scores from the major sites but haven't given much of a damn what critics actually think in years. Audience scores and member reviews on here are what interest me.

Me and RT especially don't agree on Snyder since I thought 300 and Watchmen were great and MOS is my favorite Superman movie/one of my top favorite CBM

I think some people are giving it bad reviews because it isn't what they expected. It's adult,it's serious,it's not so much a CBM as it is an action/drama.

Part of this is due to Affleck, who tries hard to project weary gravitas like his immediate successor Christian Bale as an older Batman, but too often comes off like a self-loathing Oscar-winning writer-director cashing a big paycheck.

Constantly threatening to collapse from self-seriousness, this epic has way too much of everything, including CGI and Oscar winners up the wazoo (Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Holly Hunter as a senator investigating Superma

My problem with your argument is that you are saying others have to use your methodology to come to a conclusion. If people have a good track record with RT's general reaction being similar to their own, why do they have to do it the way you want? Also, it isn't like there isn't a track record here. Snyder has more then a few movies to his name. If you felt a certain way about MoS, it is easy to project.

A question. Would it be overreacting if someone said they know they are going to like the movie before seeing it? And if so, would you call them out for it?
