This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]511523[/split]
Of course. That goes without saying. Why would people have a poorly researched opinion if they bothered to research it?It's obvious at this point that most of the people complaining about critics aren't actually reading the reviews. They're just looking at the RT score and maybe the little blurbs from the full reviews.
Most of the critics reviews lay out exactly what they did and didn't like about the movie. So nobody should be saying "I don't get why critics didn't like it". The critics explain in great detail why they didn't like the movie, that's part of their damn job.
You are continually avoiding the question. Please answer this. And? This is a logical progression from TDK. Critics have been caught contradicting their own opinions on this, why not let them taste a little blood in the mouth? Give opinion, get opinion on your opinion, and so on.
Given the audiences, bad reviews are not gonna slow this down or kill the DC-verse regardless. The hostile reaction reminds me a bit of the people trying to knock down The Force Awakens. Coming out of premire night saying

About the critics...
The critics are correct. This movie has a ton of flaws. Basically, it would have been three awesome 2 hour movies. Instead, it was cut to shreds into scenes that weren't fully fleshed out. Also, there's a lot of weird comic-booky stuff. That said, it reminded me of Grant Morrison's JLA. He made those stories reflect how these heroes would feel on the Big Screen. Twenty years later, and I feel like Snyder has taken that task. Back then, Giffen JLI fans hated the Morrison approach as it lacked the humor and character development. Sound familiar?
Basically, RT critics are like YELP critics. They'll give a hipster Sushi joint top stars if it has wonderful plating, great service, byob, a line outside, and great ambiance. Doesn't matter that it only serves rolls, which are covered w/ teriyaki, saracha-infused glaze, and sterile Wasabi being eaten w/ some Costco wine. This film is the Japanese bar that's 20 miles away near the airport, and they serve grated Wasabi that burns your nose, has fish liver pate on the menu, smells like soy sauce, and charges you 8 bucks for a bottle of Asahi. The hipster joint checks off the criteria of what makes a good restaurant. The bar just serves authentic Japanese food.
BvS is crappy movie if I just cared about a tight coherent story. It's a pretty awesome comic come to life, though.

It's too bad that they didn't just appoint a new director for BvS back in 2013, with Snyder just remaining on as a executive producer.
I'm not trying to start the sack Snyder bandwagon but I think it would have been better to pay it safe with a film like this.

Problem was after MOS he still had the fan boys so WB thought they would be okay. But even some of the DC fans have turned on this movie, so they wont be saving him this time. Only a billion dollars is going to.
Awesome comic books are coherent. This sounds more like ULTIMATES 3. or ULTIMATUM/
I am honestly shocked by this reaction. I am waiting for the "gotcha" post.I have just got back from my showing, in all honesty I can yet rate it. I am still processing it, the film was 'weird'.
I do know for sure that overall I liked it but it wasn't as good as Man of Steel.
Oh and my midnight showing was full and anyone who says the film is humourless has no sense of humour there were some great laugh out loud moments mostly from Alfred and occasionally from Perry.
I think it might be a guilty pleasure film (as in I could kind of see why it got bad reviews) but I just didn't care. It was a great Superman film for me, and a great comic book film in general in a time where comic book films have become way to steeped in reality and don't dare step into the realm of 'kind of ridiculous'... which i'm just now realising is what's been missing!
No, it sounds like Morrison JLA. Go back in time 20 years and you'll see the same criticism. Morrison was too ambitious. Stories were over-stuffed. He threw in weird, unnecessary story elements and dream sequences. Just look at Rock of Ages.
Interesting, because most of what I have heard is they tried to make it too "reality" based.I think it might be a guilty pleasure film (as in I could kind of see why it got bad reviews) but I just didn't care.
