Plus, films play out slower. Darkseid and minions are plenty for an arguably two part movie.(I say arguably in case the parts 1 & 2 are placeholders)
Especially if you want them to do justice (pun intended) to Darkseid.

Darkseid and then a whole other threat in either order is a bit much, imo. It works for animated series' but not sure it works for films in a two part series. Unless they are connected villains.

The official press release just called the movie "Justice League", there was no "Part 1" before it

In related news, another epic DC theatrical feature, Justice League, starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller, will be directed by Zack Snyder and is targeting a November 17 release next year as well.

Thanks to Mrs. Wayne for posting excerpts from the new Empire issue earlier in the thread.

I absolutely love the fact that Clark will first try and bring Batman down through exposing him via his Clark Kent reporter persona. When I'd seen set pics of Clark in Gotham, I'd just assumed that he was trying to learn more about Batman, but it looks like he's just gathering evidence for an expose' of sorts.

This is such a good story structure, it's shot my Hype further up for this film.

Yes for the record. Ladies and gentleman I'm on record now as saying it isn't distracting to me at all and that its a stupid complaint. It's on the record. It's in the books people mark it.

I agree. I never get the product placement complaints. In fact, 80% of the time, I don't even notice them. And when I do notice, it makes it a little more assuring to know real world items are tied in, regardless of whether it is an actual priduct placement or just happens to be in the shot as pure coincidence.

The beams aren't controlled by eye movement. The beams erupt from the whole eye socket, therefore it would be
Controlled by head movement

This is the correct answer. Heat vision is a blast of stored up solar energy that Kryptonians have. They are shot out of the barrel (in this case the eye sockets) and whichever way it's facing is where the heat vision goes. There were multiple examples in the movie.

Now if we are talking about X-ray or telescopic vision, then the direction of the eye would come into play.

:yay:

Hmmm...never paid attention to that. Good observation, fellas.

...I don't take it that way. The muscles and veins around the eyes glowed first as it built up. When fired full blast the glow expands to appear like it is coming out of the sockets, but this would not really make sense...:sly:

How could he shave with the mirror with out moving his eyes?
When walking thru the ice he must have moved his eyes.
In the new trailer when he pops up after bats shoots at him, his eyes glow ready to fire and he is moving his eyes.

I think it only appears to be coming out his sockets because when you focus...like a cat on its prey, you squint and look straight ahead.

This is unarguable fact!

Or not...:cwink:

Yeah the heat vision did not move via eye movement it was by head movement. It's consistently portrayed that way in MOS aswell yet people still moaned that all Zod had to do was move his eyeballs to fry the humans. Well according to the way it was portrayed in the film moving his eyeballs would have done nothing yet people will blindly ignore that.

On the shaving thing I'm kind if of glad they never answered how he did (probably would have made for a ridiculous scene aswell), same with getting his haircut. I just take it as he has a way and that's all I need.

Simple. Superman is more experienced and learned to control his heat blasts. Maybe Superman learns to narrow down his blasts?

Zod wasn't. He had beginners luck.

part 1 could introduce Intergang and some of the tech they get from the agents of Darkseid culminating in a fight with Kalibak ,Desaad, Granny and the Furies. Have it end with them escaping back to Apokolips and the League having to decide to wait for them to return or take the fight to them.

Now the question I pose to you all... will we see Aquaman in any of the tv spots or will they save him for the movie?

I really really really hope we don't see him until the movie and even then I barely want to see him

I also think he is blind when using heat vision as he seemed to need to adjust his eyes each time afterwards.

If not merely a cameo, he won't have much more than a minor role. Spoiling even a bit of that via marketing is unnecessary.

Well, we know he won't be in it much, if he's even fully seen.

Isn't that what Snyder said?

That's a very gold observation think you're right

An ending monologue with Lois Lane talking about her new article on metahumans and quick montage of cameos by Barry, Arthur, and Victor in civvies along with Waller, Lex, and ending with Bruce at a restored Wayne Manor with Alfred, Diana's faith in Man's World returned, and Superman listening for the cries of Earth in the atmosphere. All of which ends with Lois posing the question why the Earth needs Superman and these various heroes to which she answers "to protect us when the world is in need, to stop any atrocities too great for mere men or women, to lead us into the sun... And when the world is endangered they will be there..." Cue a quick glimpse of Darkseid.
