Yeah JLD can work just fine without precursor films.

Do you guys think we will ever see Swamp Thing on the big screen?

There was the 1982 Swamp Thing movie based on the Vertigo character starring Ray Wise and Adrienne Barbeu.
And there was a 1989 sequel The Return of the Swamp Thing starring Dick Durock and Heather Locklear.

It's pretty hard to avoid an end is nigh villain when that team has potentially such powerhouses on display.

Just have the final fight not take place in a destroyed city. Have it take place in another dimension or some remote location, just not another city.

Sounds like a pornstar name.

The 1982 film was also directed by Wes Craven (RIP Wes).

I meant in the correct DCCU.

People can't help what they are named. There was multiple winning NASCAR driver named Dick Trickle.

Ah, I just saw the part about ever. Hey, lots of characters might not ever make it into the DCEU. Not sure if Sandman or Constantine or Lucifer will make it into the DCEU either.

Two new DCEU films slated for 2020, there's a total of 4 now scheduled for that year. One of them is likely WW2 but I'm curious to find out what the others are (betting February's is Gotham City Sirens).

WAG also announced an animated film for 2018 and many are speculating it's DC related with Super Hero Girls being the popular choice.

Shazam is also going into production next year! Maybe joining SS2 and The Batman as 2019 movies?

The previous DC Super Hero Girls movies been very good so I'd like WB to go with another one. Either that or its another Lego movie.

They should make an animated, theatrical Superman film for those who want a more old school Superman.

Speaking for my self only I want a clever, optimistic superman who isn't allergic to dialogue! Honestly I don't think that's too much to ask especially after 3 movie awful (IMO) movies where superman is mopey and mute.
A CW show (supergirl) managed to give us a smart, charismatic superman so i really don't see how a multi-million dollar movie couldn't do the same.

I think he indicated that he's too busy with JL reshoots and post-production to make the trip out there.

intresting that most of jl stars will be able to be away from reshoots.i am curious if wb will give whedon some kind of credit for jl.

Huh. Is Billy Batson disabled? I don't remember that ever being the case but I haven't actually read much Shazam.

Shame about the Rock apparently not being in it.

Well, the article doesn't say he's not in it, just that it's unclear if he will be yet, so could go either way.

edit mistake

If not Black Adam, I figure they'll use Dr. Sivana.
