Happy finally superman has been done justice with MOS. i enjoyed Superman 1 but its just too slow and dated for me now. I just don't understand how people carry on its some timeless classic. Star wars, Scarface, Good Fellas and Jurassic park are classics to me and their still amazing to watch even today.

Yeah, I can't understand why so low. He's expecting it to be as mediocre as IM2?

I expect it to blow the iron man movies away and will personally probably rate it a 9/10 from what I've heard. I guess we will see Tuesday. That's just my prediction for critics, that it will be deemed as another run of the mill origin story but with more great action or something. 72% is still good.

Question for PowerCosmic or DaJanksta

During the opening credits when Kal-El is born, is he immediately sent off Krypton, lands on Earth then cut to Clark in the bar? Or do we see some more then just that like Jor-El's battle with Zod after Kal-El is sent away?

I find it highly unlikely that none of the hundred kryptonians stumbled ona yellow sun planet.Its just convenient.I hope this is addressed in a sequel or it’s a bit of a stretch

Actually the majority of all stars in our galaxy are red and orange stars. Yellow stars are very rare, and I would imagine that yellow stars with habitable planets are even more rare.

So it's very plausible in my mind for Kryptonians to travel the galaxy and not have superpowers.

Yeah, a movie about Batman is SUPPOSED to be dark. If other superhero movies have copied that tone (and I don't see any that have, not even MOS from what I can gather from trailers and clips), that's not the fault of Nolan or WB. They didn't need to "lighten" up Batman just because someone might take that approach with another character where it wasn't appropriate.

Well, what other way was Nolan going to take Batman after Batman Forever and Batman & Robin?

Agreed, I personally don't understand it either because I'm only 25 and they're very dated now and I'm a huge Superman fan. But critics have that unbreakable attachment to those movies and Christopher Reeve that no matter how different the ideas in the new film are, they will always be compared to them.

There's nothing wrong with this movie landing in the low 70's on Rotten Tomatoes. The expectations are getting a bit too high. Regardless the positive feedback we're getting from tweets and even fellow hype members... There is still a good chance there will be people out there that aren't thrilled with this movie.

The Amazing Spider-Man landed in the low 70's and that movie still made 750M WW with a sequel already 3 months into shooting. That's all that counts for MOS, it makes enough money so WB gives it a sequel... That's where the real money is. Put a crazy villain for the second one that challenges Supes on an intellectual/psychological level instead of going fist to fist like he will with Zod.

He gave them both 8.5/10. But then he went on to straight up lie about TDK's impact on the movie industry. He wrote an article last year that he was so happy to see a more lighthearted movie like the Avengers succeeding because TDK was causing too many dark superhero movies to be made. Total BS. TDKR is really the only dark superhero movie that has come out recently. Watchmen doesn't count because its source material is extremely dark and the film was greenlit and in production long before TDK was released.

I never really understood that whole "TDK changed things mentality" what other superhero films followed suit with the whole dark and grounded thing?

I actually liked TASM But MOS is better in every department. I think TASM 2 will be even better then first one cuase i think jaime foxx and pual gimaati are awesome.

I think MOS will be between 85-90 on RT. I'd be shocked if it ends up below 80 based on powercosmics review.

Anyone who gives SM3 above a 6 has zero credibility when it comes to reviewing superhero movies.

I completely disagree.

While it definitely has flaws (primarily the upped cheese/comedy factor from SM2), SM3 is waaay better than people give it credit for.

I still maintain it has some of the best cbm action sequences
