Wow really? Was it a case that
he just had a look of him or CG face?

It looked so real that it made me wish they could make an entire movie with that CGI Reeve! LOL not that I thought Henry was bad, he was excellent! it's just that some nostalgia punched me in the heart at that moment lol

Maybe I'm exaggerating, last night I really saw him for a couple of seconds, it was Chris Reeve and he was alive again *cries*

But like I said, I probably was really tired and my brain + nostalgia made it looked more real than it really was.

Watch it and tell me what you think. It's that moment from the trailer where he's under the light beam

y I have watched it !!!! Yes!!! The critic are really harsh on Superman!!! No movie is perfect. You will hope to do the romance a little more... the saving a little more.... the destruction a little less... but the whole story is solid... very well delivered!!!The critic had me worried a little. Thought it would like immortal.

The best superman film. Period.

N im one of the 100% donner reeve superman fan.

You know that collateral damage in the climax that everyone's having a problem with.

Check out what Goyer says about that and how it relates to Justice League. Very interesting stuff....http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/06...steels-story-causes-the-justice-league-movie/

I felt like they did a good job of making the collateral damage seem much less than what it was. This wasn't a situation like Fast 6 where we
see plenty of civilians just run over by a tank

After each big punch or similar, they showed us a bunch of civilians to show that a lot of them made it.

You've often conveyed a certain level of objectivity in your posts, so your opinion holds quite a bit of value for me. I'm glad you liked the film! Hope I do as well.

I hope you like it as well, my friend
*crosses fingers*

It lasted for maybe half a second, but yes the resemblance was seen in that half a second.

I seem to be posting here a lot today, but I guess I want the hypers to know that this is not a bad movie, trust me - watch it and you will enjoy it. I would definitely go 8-9 on 10. Will be watching it again tonight.

Well, I'll know tomorrow afternoon but it's just interesting to me that Goyer and Snyder have ideas about the damage for the Justice League film because I know, on my threads across the net from people who have seen it, that they have a problem with the amount of collateral damage in this film...and how it pertains to Superman's character.

The fact that that might have threads in the sequel and Justice League shows a level of confidence of what they want to possibly do going forward.

Really? I thought the whole point of the destruction was to emphasize that "this looks like a job for Superman".

On a side note, I don't know if this was done on purpose but I like how they managed to slip in the adages "faster than a speeding bullet" and "more powerful than a locomotive" during the fight in Smallville.

Thanks! For the first time in history, I've completely steered clear of RT reviews, but I have to admit the low score is starting to get to me a little. Can't wait until I see the film, so I can judge it for myself!

Woah. I didn't realize that until you just brought it up. Brilliant now that I think about it.

screw the critics!

The philippines loves man of steel, new single day record broken!

i have seen it 4 times already. :d

you see people? Real critics loved it... And the us are still to come!!!

Just realized there were a couple of nods to Jon Peters in the movie as well

The World engine has a spider-like design when it is fighting Superman, and

The camera lingers on a polar bear for just a bit too long, because they are the fiercest killers in the animal kingdom

To those that have seen it. [BLACKOUT]Is there any kind of rebuilding Metropolis shown after the final battle? Nothing as Clark bike rides through the streets?[/BLACKOUT]

Have a sinking feeling that if that one line was uttered by the main character himself, there would be one or two more positive reviews out there:yay:

Considering the scale of consistent money, I would think anyone that didn't like it stopped going after the first film, but more and more people just keep going back. Unless you are coming off of StarWars that doesn't(hasn't) happen.
I wasn't saying that they didn't give a lot of people what they liked, I just said that the GA isn't one single entity and even though many people like one thing it doesn't mean that everyone feels the same. Therefor it's a bit too easy to say that the critics and GA are separated since the ones in the GA that aren't interested won't go see it and won't rate it.

Reviews aren't meant to tell us how much money a film will make.

It's simple, I like a film like Blade for(random) example, I get a bunch of critics saying I don't because it doesn't have enough substance. We all look for different things in our art and entertainment. However there is group of opinions that can be measured as the standard of measure of how successful a film is. Sorry, that time I didn't go for substance, yet it get's low scores on substance. no beuno.
I don't get how any critic in this example tells you what to think. Critics tell you what they think, and why, and you can use that as part of your reasoning whether or not to go see the movie. Maybe you'll think that what he thinks applies to you, or maybe you don't and just ignore it.

Is that a complaint? If it is I would have my complaints list too. I wanna see superman saving ...

:wow: he did it. he got his polar bear :D it took him like 15 years but he did it.

Poppin' into this thread, can someone give me two rough estimates with no specific plot details about how many people Superman is directly responsible for dying and another number for people Superman personally kills? I've avoided most spoilers and reviews so far for the film but I'd like to know this going into it. Thanks. Tag it if you can, I guess.
