I also want to mention the HEAT VISION is spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for not doing that invisible wave crap Snyder

There are no 40min fist fights. Each fight scene is unique and beautiful unto itself. I honestly didn't think I love them as much as I did, but I did.

If the entire fight scenes are of the nature of superman punching that one guy cgi through the air to no effect due to everyone being invincible...I can honestly start to understand why some people aren't being won over...

I figured with nolan and goyer involved they would do that thing they do where they butter their action up with great context and stakes(see TDK chase).

Can't wait to see for myself.

Not entirely invincible. Hell, by the end of it, Zod and Superman look like boxers who went through all 12 rounds or wrasslers that wrestled a full 60 minutes. They look like they wanna drop.

Say what? When and how did that come up? Please explain.
The "codex" is basically a Kryptonian skull that has somehow stored genetic codes for Kryptonians, such that they can re-make new Kryptonians. When sending Kal-El to earth, Jor-El transfer all of the genetic coding to Kal-El's body. Zod needs to capture Kal-El and drain the genetic coding from his body in order to make new Kryptonians.

Probably 4-5 cuss words. And Clark drinks a beer.

Clark drinks a beer?

Why not a glass of milk? What happened to that uplifting model of humanity my old Superman used to be. What is this new, dark filth?!:o

Well, they're clearly not all invincible. And that one scene is really not representative of the fighting at all. That's probably the least spectacular point of the fighting.

I see.

I thought you seen it already and were one of the skeptics. Good to hear more positive reactions.
I like to keep an open mind to criticism. I have had situations where I found fault with a movie and have been attacked. Thus I defend everyone's right to an opinion.

But I honestly can't agree with any here. Everyone is entitled of course, but I love it.

Correct. I hope people understand that while it feels like you are getting 40 minutes to an hour of non stop action, everything is quite cohesive. The fight scenes are done in a way that makes sense and when we switch to a different fight scene it is done in a way that feels warranted for the situation.

The fights are unique, cohesive, and just all-around ****ing awesome. Prolonged, maybe, but different nonetheless.

lol you had a good poker face.

Still think you are low balling that figure. I can't see this opening lower than IM with a 3D boost and Nolans name. Reviews shouldn't affect opening weekends of this scale that much. Not opening days anyways.

My friend just reminded me that he didn't even know who Tony Stark was prior to 2008....that was the level of brand recog for him at that point. I see different here.

I'm not gonna lie, I was a tad worried when the score dipped into the 60s. :funny: I started to ponder what was putting off the critics so much but I figured with the board being somewhat negative already that it didn't need another scared fan. Still, I remained steadfast and stuck by my guns lol

Perhaps, I do believe MOS can reach 120 but I like to aim low because half the time it exceeds my expectations. It all depends on the WOM with the general audience. This film has big potential.

Cool. Thanks.
I'm not quite sure what the point of the transfer is. Why not just stowe it in his ship with the command key? Sounds a bit too much like sequel setup.

It isn't really non-stop either. Man I love it. It is like the Avengers finale on a bigger scale, that ends on the greatest one on one I have seen.

I agree, and honestly it did not feel like 40 mins or whatever. Heck when the final fight started, I honestly thought to myself, wow this is going to wrap up soon, it felt like the whole movie was only about 1:30 mins. The way people were making it sound was that it was just non stop slug fest, when in fact there were a lot of other things that were going on. And when the final scene ended, I was ready for it to continue into part 2.

The best way (for me) to describe the fights especially with Zod at the end, is like seeing a "suped" up version of the final Agent Smith and Neo fight from the last Matrix film minus some of the martial arts (though there is some actual fighting technique)

You'll see why once you see the film.

When Zod flies...holy **** :wow:

Because then Zod (or whoever) could get it if they found the ship - much like what actually happened in the movie with Zod and Faora going to the Kent House.

It's definitely sequel set up type stuff. Just not sure how.

This is a final fight scene that does not leave you feeling ripped off (other than Zod's head almost  :p ) By that, I mean you get to a climax in some action movies and for whatever reason they have blown their load already and give a short fight scene that ends with a feeling of wanting WAY more than what you got. This is the best pacing I've seen for a final fight scene in this type of movie, PERIOD.

I think we as fans should learn something here: always keep expectations reasonable no matter how much awesome footage is released and don't pay attention to RT LOL.
