If Snyder doesn't use a shot like the one scene at 1:17 here I will be disappointed :D

Once again marvel pwns dc. First they get to avengers WAY before JL. second they get to Quicksilver way before flash. Now they get to Ultron way before brainiac. Brainiac has gotta be off the table for superman/Batman

Giving Batman the blue and grey suit would certainly separate it from the other films.

I would love to see an onscreen version of the blue/gray outfit with the oval....only because I know fanboys would whine about it. But as other comic franchises have proven, there are ways to legitimize certain designs from the comics

I prefer Dc's characters to MARVEL's any day but film wise, MARVEL is majorly kicking DC's ass I agree.

Or you could view not as a competition with other studios, but their own.

Yup. Look at how many years WB/DC sat on GL, Flash, WW and JL without doing a damn thing with them. It took Marvel making Iron Man and The Avengers etc..for WB/DC to finally decide to give us something outside of Batman and Superman.

WB/DC has been all about reacting. They are incapable of setting up their own plan and sticking with it. Again, Marvel = playing chess, WB/DC = playing checkers.

But that's what it is at the end of the day, as much as we try to veer away from it. Competition. Who can come out on top.
It's just like every film studio wanting to be the #1 studio of the year.
The film industry is all about competition.

Not really.

It's about making an great return on an investment. The studios are in competition with how much they spent to make and market a film no matter how big or how small that film may be.

The only competition you really see are fans who'll use BO or RT ratings for dick measuring in their continued Marvel vs. DC debates.

I like checkers better :)

But to compare video game systems and companies it would be like Sega Master System to Nintendo64 (Marvel) :)

Unfortunately, a lot of the Marvel knock-off characters ripped from DC will be perceived as original to the GA.

I can see it now. Who's this HawkEye knockoff? :lmao: :waa:

why are you guys acting like DC is a subdivision of WB this isn't DC Studios lol

WB is a major studio who had focus on the harry potter franchise that went for 10 years

aswell as hangover franchise, matrix franchise, oceans eleven franchise, now hobbit franchise aswell as sherlock holmes franchise

not to mention put out films like mystic river, departed, the fountain, blood diamond, etc

they do far more than some comic book films to focus on

^Of course they do more, but when it comes to comic book films, they are terrible at putting together a plan. It changes like the wind. They have to wait to see what Marvel is doing first and then they react accordingly.

Why yes they are.

The endless dick measuring between marvel and dc fanboys is really getting insufferable.

This is the sort of talking that justifies WB's crossover decision making. People just keep celebrating Marvel's business first model and putting WB down for simply making movies.

^ Yep. WB doesn't know how to manage DC and lucked out with Batman/Superman in the past.

But comparing movies isn't even fair. If DC had a fully realized cinematic universe, then comparisons could be made.

But comparing comics is also not really fair, cuz it all boils down to personal preference.

If people like a company just because of the movies, well then that's silly, because movies tend to change quite a few things.

So why not just like both? As long as WB is without a game-plan Marvel will win.
But DC has the advantage in that it can tell unconventional stories without disrupting a set tone established in the "universe".

In the end, think about how silly it is.
You don't have to hate one to like the other.

Appreciate DC's budding world while celebrating Marvel's. How hard is that?

Marvel definitely has the movie aspect down pact, but DC is leagues ahead in videogames, and animation. Personally, I think it's great both are trying to one up each other. I'm winning either way.

I'm a fan of superheros
I'm not a DC fanboy
I'm not MARVEL fanboy

It's the console wars all over again!

^ Yep, visit any retro forum and you see so much competitiveness and aggressiveness.
Super NES won, fair and square. It sold more units, has better hardware, ARGUABLY created more memorable games, and Nintendo is still in business with the console, whereas Sega kind of dropped out. But SNES fanboys don't have to be a jerk about it. Sega Genesis had the multiplayer/sports games down pat, with a faster processor contributing to a smoother gameplay experience, especially on arcade titles.

Genesis is still more than good in its own right.

I think a similar thing will happen with DC/Marvel when DC hits its stride.
