That means WB payed for the rights to put his name on the movie so people who liked The Dark Knight will be more inclined to go see it.

Batman took on Aliens. Superman takes on a Predator...

MOS needed more singing...

nolan is he involved

Too bad he isn't involved with the story though; I mean he's just pretty much there now in the same way that Steven Speilberg was for the Transformers films, where he's just a producer but has no input on the story whatsoever.

Nolan had no input with the story for MOS. He got a writers credit because Goyer suggested doing that. Nolan brought the idea to WB and produced it.

Really? Since I thought it was said somewhere that Nolan had helped with the layout of the story after Goyer had pitched the idea to him. Heck, he was even against the idea of having Superman kill Zod at first, etc.

Boy, I sure hope that this all turns out for the best. Right now, I would definitely call this a big gamble for Warner Bros. right now.

There are so many things that can go right...and yet, so many things that can go wrong int he same time.

Goyer said that he and Nolan mapped out the MoS story together beat by beat over the course of a few months, just like they did for TDK and TDKR.

Yeah Nolan definitely had input with the story but Snyder changed it also, apparently the final act was changed a lot and that Jonah rewrote it (though there is no evidence of that I believe). So pretty much everything up till after the Smallville fight I imagine had Nolan's input. The rest though with snipits of his had to be a Snyder/Goyer thing as there is no way on this earth I can imagine Nolan going "then Zod comes down then.... **** it everything gets blown to **** for 25 minutes!"

I just watched Doug Walker's (Nostalgia Critic) review of MoS with his brother. Wow it seems they totally missed the point with a lot MoS' scenes! I'm not a big defender and admit there is a lot of stupid stuff in MoS but the points they were bringing up were moronic. And also a lot of it was Nolan's fault apparently... really? If you are critiquing like they do you have to have at least SOME knowledge of how the film is put together.

Nolan accepted the change.. according to Goyer.. and the first draw was to send the kryptonians including zod to the phantom zone... but IMO the final product of that scene (world engine, Faora's last dance on earth and Supes vs Zod) except of the final scene were made by goyer and nolan (polished by Snyder) and were incredibly amazing.... it has the same scenario like BB all the city is gonna be doomed and with no hope and at the end (casualties in MOS AND BB) and the consequences (Arkham Bad guys freedom and also the train destruction in BB) the difference is the case of Supes was a world situation on the other hand batman´s only is a city situation... the movie has it's flaws but all the movie is a great piece of art.... that critic was so silly, pointless without strong arguments should I continue?....:whatever:

Herolee and all the Superman fans can rest easy.

I remember having laughed my ass off from seeing Snyder's and Cavil's reaction to that question, let alone Snyder's response to it.

Here's the thing though, the reason why i'm still conflicted even after that statement is that:

1. I doubt that Snyder would have said anything negative about Superman at that point when he was trying to promote the film, especially in a Hall filled with superman fans for the most part.

2. It's the fact that he used a certain "infamous" quote from Batman in "The Dark Knight Returns" comic book that has people worried. And yes, we know that they're not adapting the story, but in the same time, Snyder said that the quote is going to be used to help tell that story.

3. Honestly, how many other ways are there to show a kickass Batman near Superman without falling under the misguided belief that Batman needs to be portrayed as being superior to Superman in combat due to his intelligence? I'm pretty sure they'll find some way for Batman to beat Superman in the film if they needed him to win.

The marketing will have to really sell the fact that this is a different Batman from Christian Bale's, not even existing in the same universe. That was something they could have done better when Batman Begins was coming out. I remember seeing a lot of people who thought it was a continuation of the Burton films.

I think he will at least read the script and make suggestions. I don't believe Nolan would let his name be on something, if he wouldn'thave at least a tiny bit of influence.

Wait...since Legendary is gone, what company will help produce this?

That was also because a "reboot" was not nearly as known or understood as it is now. Where Begins inspired the modern reboot arguably.

You'll still have the people who might be disappointed Bale isn't back as Batman though. That's why the actor cast in the role better be damn near perfect as there is going to be a lot of scrutiny. WB was actually smart to introduce the new batman this way though than in a solo reboot. Less pressure on the actor.

Oh yeah. When the The Dark Knight Rises was releasing, they plastered "conclusion of the trilogy" ever where and many people were like when did The Dark Knight 2 come out?

People will be clueless one way or another but atleast the fact that someone else would be Batman apart from Bale might clue them in. Either-ways I don't think many would honestly care. I kinda still feel many people can't name Cavill, like they know he's Superman but might not recollect his name.

Just to let you guys know, one of WB's official youtube pages BeyondTheLot has made Superman/Batman: Public Enemies available for free. They did this on May 28th, so it makes me wonder if WB did that purposely to prep for the movie. Here's part 1.
