All Things Wonder Woman: An Open Discussion - - Part 11

Oh, blah, blah, blah. The movie isn't even done being edited yet. I'm so sick of people trying to taint WW with their agendas.

Like I said in the SS thread... Wtf is a pajiba? People are stopping short of going to malware infected Russian sites trying to prove that DCF is in "trouble". They just jelly of the numbers Skwad is putting up.

In response to the 5,000 year thing. Passage of time works differently for immortals. One year for us might be like a second for Amazons so 5,000 years old might still be young by Amazonian standards.
People will believe anything even if the source is iffy. I really don't care what people want to believe just because they personally didn't like a movie. The source, fired employee and website, are suspect. How can you judge a film that isn't even in the can yet. Edit: there is clear Marvel bias with that "employee" look at what they say about the hall H presentations and bringing up old movies and ignoring hits. Looks like a troll to me.

how would this so called ex bitter employee even know the quality lol the film wrapped in may and there was no chaos on set and they haven't even edited the film yet

this employee could of been a receptionist for all we know lol

I'd like it to explain why retrieving a digital copy of that photo in DoJ was so important to her. Important enough to expose herself to Lex Luthor, who was the very person she believed knew her true identity. Yet, she turns up at his party without a disguise anyway. Diana didn't even retrieve the original photo, just a digital copy which means that Luthor retained the original (or at least another digital copy).

This is what I was saying. Like Lex Luthor has a digital photo of her. Not to mention. She says she left man's world behind. So what does she really care?

Plus, she just gets a digital copy as you said. That really in no way solves the problem, especially if Luthor has the original. And plus she was at Luthor's party, with cameras probably all over the place.

Here's the thing about deleting files. They are still recoverable. If a hard drive can be spun, deleted files can still be retrieved.

Let's call a spade a spade. It was a dumb, lazy motivation to bring Wonder Woman into a story where she really had no place in this story at all. She really shouldn't have been in the movie.

You know that it's fake because they're blaming Tsujihara for Man of Steel. That was still the Robinov era.

It's pure MCU fanboy fiction.

Former WB employee is hearing Wonder Woman is a mess.

Given that, as recently as SDCC, Patty Jenkins confirmed that she was still locked away editing Wonder Woman, I'm not sure how many people within WB would be aware that it is a "mess". There isn't even a final product to judge.

Are people within WB panicking about the state of the DC Movie Universe following poor critics reviews for Suicide Squad? Probably. Is that panicked state having an adverse impact on the finalisation of Wonder Woman? Possibly.

But, if WB chooses to react to the poor critics reviews for Suicide Squad by butchering Wonder Woman and trying to cram in last minute reshoots to fix perceived problems, then they only have themselves to blame.

I guess so. But, I'm hopeful that they could "spin" it in a somewhat positive light. Maybe Diana comes across a descendant of Steve Trevor or in her guise as an antiquities dealer, she comes across some artefact from WW1. Diana is reminded of her first (?) love and decides that she'd like something to remember him by. Diana is unconcerned about her "secret" identity. Diana is unconcerned about Lex Luthor and doesn't perceive him to be a threat to her at all. Diana, on the 100 year anniversary of Steve's death, simply wants a momento to remember him by. She's lost a lot of friends over 100 years and wants this one small comfort.

Sure, people could argue that she's being a "typical melodramatic woman", but one of Diana's greatest strengths is that she is caring and compassionate. So, it could work. It just needs the right "spin" to it.

Alternatively, the photo could hold a "clue" to some present day problem which Diana needs to solve. So, she needs a copy for the information it contains. I'm not sure what that "clue" could be, but they could probably figure out something. Heck, they barely showed the photo so they could do a similar image, have Diana examining the photo on her computer to find some crucial piece of information (e.g. the identity of a spy who tried to thwart the efforts in WW1 and who Diana believes is still alive). Of course, that all lends itself to a WW sequel set in present day. Or maybe a "one shot" like Marvel used to do.

You see it has nothing to do with me thinking her a typical melodramatic woman at all. It just has to do with weak writing and storytelling.

But once again, her getting a digital copy of that photo doesn't really fix the problem.

There's nothing in the movie to indicate any of this.

Not buying that rumor. This movie is almost 10 months away from being completed, not to mention the fact that it sounds like such a quick, throwaway criticism in the article.

She also seems very bitter that she got laid off from WB as well.

Mark Hughes of Forbes does not think that WW is a mess is credible info, take it as you will.

It could very well be a mess of a script, with a last minute write of the script by two authors who aren't even film screenwriters. Or it might be a mess because WB is freaking out over BvS and Suicide Squad and is interfering with Jenkins again.

But I'm hesitant because no sources with names have actually come out and said this about Wonder Woman. People with industry contacts reported the mess of BvS and Suicide Squad before it came out (no one believed them) but they were actual entertainment reporters. Not an anon on the internet. None of those people have heard any bad news about Wonder Woman.

But I wouldn't be surprised at the leadership at WB. Snyder shouldn't be allowed to continue. If you mess up, you get fired. That's how it works in the normal world. Movie world is so strange that you can create a bad film - and despite what your personal opinion about MoS and BvS were, the RT score and the insane next week drop offs prove SNyder to be somewhat of a fail. As do his other movies that are not 300 - but still keep getting high paying jobs. What the hell.

I freaking loved MOS (didn't agree with any of the criticisms), loved BvS (agreed with some criticisms) and I thought Suicide Squad was just okay, but probably need to watch again to form a better opinion.

But the Snyder films were very different than Ayer's. There's no reason at this point to think WW, with its different writers and director, will be great or average or bad. We just don't know enough yet.

I refuse to freak out for the next ten months. Plus, Warner has received universal praise for how they've presented WW so far. I have no complaints.

But I do see a trend with the pro critics. They give Marvel a pass for the some of the same flaws they castigate DC movies over. And I'm not a Marvel hater. I go see every superhero movie. I thought the Cap America trilogy was brilliant. Loved the first Avengers and GotG. But I wanted my money back after the first Thor and third IM. Avengers 2 was no better than SS, IMO. And how did the boring SR rate fresher on RT than MOS?

It's all stuff and nonsense. I don't care. What I know for sure is I love Wonder Woman, and I love Gal in the role.

I'm just going to repost from the SS thread regarding this.

When you start calling Edge of Tomorrow (BO $370m to $178 budget) and the Hobbit Trilogy (Total BO $2.9b to $675m budget) failures, I can't take you seriously anymore. And didn't the she say she started writing this letter during MoS? So I'm assuming she left WB a while back. How the heck she know so much about WW production anyway if she left probably before it even began production? Made up article is made up.

Turn your back on the haters. Nothing is going to impact my WW and JL hype.

the negative campaign against WW has already begun. yeah.

it's really getting old now. fans are hyped no doubt though:)

Lol.

So Bad Boys for Life is off the Wonder Woman date, now January 2018.

That's just face scan modeling, isn't it? Mostly used for actions sequences?

Oh wait a minute, is that for Justice League or for wonder Woman?

It's not for Wonder Woman. It'd have been done by now.

Justice League or the Injustice 2 video game are the only things that make sense.

Like I said Cavill was in that same both not too long ago.
