Loved the first Comic Con trailer. I'm so pissed off we're already getting another one. Could be 3 minutes.
I'm not counting on them to keep the plot hidden. After the first MOS teaser, the MOS trailer 1 (Dec 2012), I thought to myself, wow that was a great trailer and they kept things pretty hidden. Hardly any scenes from Krypton was shown, the Fortress...or Scoutship (because we didn't know what it was exactly), the trailer was good because it managed to keep us interested and speculating. Though I think it did need to show a few more decent shots of Superman flying...not too much of Smallville or Zod was shown either. We didn't see the World Engine either.
Then they had like 3 more trailers after that. Phew. We walked into the cinema already knowing most of the plot. 3 trailers should have been it.
So the teaser for Batman v Superman was perfect, and the SDCC trailer, it was long but good and didn't give away Doomsday and the ending. Only thing was it fooled you into thinking that Superman would speak in the court scene.
Then trailer 2 gave it all away. It seemed meaningless, after all that time and effort, they managed to keep Doomsday a secret until trailer 2 which was the stupidest thing they ever did.
It's only been 3 months since the first WW trailer. I was expecting to wait another 3 months at least. This is too soon for me.
They just don't know how to maintain themselves. It's like how fanatics can't contain themselves from reading spoilers because they're just too excited. I understand that. But Chris Nolan managed to give us very little of TDKR's plot in the trailers, that it only made us more anticipated.
I want this trend to continue and I want to remain surprised when I see the movie.
