The Guardian reviewer made a point of counting how many men were involved in the production. Really.

Ugh. That routine is really old. If only these folks would treat people on their merit. Everything is about race/gender/sexuality, etc.

I guess it is unavoidable for a WW film. But indeed this is being judged to a different standard. I guess it will have its positive and negative effects.

I'm not even going to read it after seeing his past scores. The Guardian TRIED with this guy.

Yep.

There are a ton of flaws in GOTG 2 imo, but its fun. I think thats the standard now. Just make sure the movie is fun and critics will be far more forgiving. Unless you do something totally outside the box like Logan or of that caliber/quality.

Totally.. it's funny thought.
And isn't about conspiracy theory, even a 4-year-old can understand it.

We just have to accept that DC will never get the free pass that Marvel movies gets. It's a loss cause.

I think what is happening here is Patty Jenkins made what these critics consider to be a really good movie. Just like TDK, Logan, Spider-Man 2, The Avengers, etc.

Skimming through the reviews without catching spoilers and a fun drinking game could be made out of every time the phrase, "DC finally gets it right." appears.
