It's brilliant

The thing it has those other DCEU films lack badly? Heart! It also has a coherent storyline which helps too of course.

But it's an excellent film with great performances and it's you can tell jenkins understands the character. I can see what people mean with a slightly Snyderesque CG battle but for me it was nowhere near the mess of the Doomsday fight

I thoroughly enjoyed it, Jenkins et al should be really proud

The Ultimate Edition was a slight improvement but it was still a poorly made movie after that. Had more potential with a better director and less studio nonsense.

That's some mighty fine baiting.

Yes sir. One might even say you're a master at it. :o

Exactly. They are similar characters, yet very different. One was brought up in a magical island, protected and where she had a peaceful life. While Clark was brought up in our cynical world. Diana had her parents, she knew her people, she belonged. Clark never belonged, he was ostrasized by the society, he only had his parents, and he has to make his world "small". Diana grew up being proud of who she is, of her heritage, and knowing what she is doing is right. Clark grew up not knowing what's right and wrong in this ever growing morally grey world, he asked "Did god do this to me?". He didnt know.

They are fundamentally different characters. Clark faced all the bows and arrows of society and this repugnant world, which Diana never had to. He took one for the team and the league, and because of his example and inspired by him, the rest of the league can now come out of the shadows, including Diana.

Both hero in their own right, but very different heroes.

Yes, it is interesting. Diana was someone basically groomed to be a hero, once past her mother's initial reluctance. She came into the larger world full of heroic determination and good will to find these tested by the harsh realities she found. Meanwhile, Clark was raised by someone who never overcame a much similar reluctance, and he lived from the start in the larger world of gray uncertainty, and slowly discovered the hero inside himself.

It is great that both have different but no lesser paths.

Going to see it in 6 hours!! I can't wait!!

As others have said, this is some good stuff. Sums up why I dig the DCEU take on Superman. And why I think the DCEU is so good. This forum needs more of this kind of thought.

Is that you? Great costume. Did you make it yourself? You would make a great WW. Is that a wig or your real hair?

Yep. That's me. Thank you :)

I didn't make the costume. Got absolutely zero sawing skills. That is my real hair.

They are a bit hard to walk with. I have to fix them up a bit before I'll be able to walk with them. Same for the armband.

Makes sense. Fantastic work, and you certainly do look the part. You're going to get SO many people asking to take pictures with you!

Thank you. I bought it for Comic Con. It's my first and probably only one so I figured I better do it right and go all out :cwink:

You're a pretty girl and if you had the proper wig you'd be a good visual match for this version of WW.

There is a WW costume on Amazon if you wanted to ever invest in a more complete one:

I don't think people will mind at all if you don't have the greaves though. It looks great as it is, and WW doesn't even have them in the comics. Also, the really early WW had sandals instead of boots so it will still look pretty accurate:

Chris Pine just threw incredible shade at Infinity War. Wow that was straight up savage. Fanboys gonna lose their **** now.

Edit :

Here's the video :

Pine seems pretty dismissive of the genre in general, his definition applies to MoS and SS as much as to Age of Ultron and IW.

Yeah, in pretty much all the interviews he participates in he always mentions that he doesn't like Superheroes.

Yup. He doesn't seem to be into the tired, repeated spectacle of it all it seems. Can't blame him.

I'll just use a curling iron and it will better than a wig. I have the greaves but I just have to fix them up a bit.

This costume cost twice as much as the one you attached. It looks like leather and its got all the accessories. It's really awesome. I got it from Aliexpress.

And in all honesty JL/Infinity War, maybe more IW, are going to be the zenith of that CGI crammed action/battle extravaganzas.

Yeah, in pretty much all the interviews he participates in he always mentions that he doesn't like Superheroes and he's just basically supporting Gal in WW.

I never saw him as an actor who would want to be a part of superhero club. If it was not for movie like WW, he would have never agreed to be a part of comic book movie.

I cannot imagine him auditioning for Green Lantern or Captain America. :funny:

That's what I got from the clip as well. He was commenting more on the title of the movie and what it connotes "really, like infinity war, we need more war for all time" than about the franchise or the movie itself.

Thats true. I hope fanboys dont make a big deal out of it, he doesnt seem like a guy who watches cbm. I LOL'd at his reasoning though, he thinks Infinity War is about wars that goes on for infinite amount of time. Imagine if movies had to be literally what the titles say. Star Wars would be about stars battling each other. Movies like "Snakes on a plane" would be pretty accurate tho :funny:

Anyway, anyone see it in 3D yet...I have to go 2hrs away to find a 2D showing and I was wondering if its worth it?

Why have you obscured your face now when you didn't before? It's your choice but we've already seen you now and it's not like you have anything to hide.

The greaves look cool.

Meh people got over the whole "**** Marvel" thing pretty quickly. Nobody should care what overzealous fanboys think in general, I'm sure it'll blow over.

I don't tend to put my pictures online so when I uploaded this photo to Aliexpress when I reviewed the costume I obscured my face. It's the only photo I have that shows the greaves.
