These are the summer movie releases that have Twitter buzzing the most ☀️

I dunno, the fact he called out Infinity War so specifically, I really hope the genre in general gets a bit more of a shake up, and we see movies more in like with TDK that we don't have 'end of the world' as the only significant outcome to the stories progression. I do hope that JL isn't in the same vein as infinity war, and there's a much deeper routed story about heroes as I look too both the animated films / comic books, the reason for me that so many of the from the batman universe aren't geared towards end of the world scenarios.

(Under the Red Hood, TLH, TDKR, TLJ, Knightfall), and Marvel's strongest story (imo) is Civil War(comic not movie).

I always feel when I can hear what the villain says..i can creepily agree with them to some degree, that is when the stories are best, think how many points joker made in TDK, that youre like hey..that makes sense (one little mayor and everyone loses there minds.)

Suicide Squad had a great opportunity to change that, and sadly they also went with end of the world, which is my biggest disappointment and I do hope that future solo entries for the DCEU don't go down that route, and end of the world scenarios are explicitly saved for the JL.

Considering JL/JL2 are concerned with Darkseid I imagine the world ending will be a pretty central theme.

I don't tend to put my pictures online so when I uploaded this photo to Aliexpress when I reviewed the costume I obscured my face. It's the only photo I have that shows the greaves.

Ok I see. Are you going to sit with the greaves on or will they be uncomfortable for 2 hours?

Thank you :)

(why isn't there a blushing emoji on this forum....)

I would've given you that reaction too but wasn't sure what you'd think.

The thing it has those other DCEU films lack badly? Heart!

Without spoilers, what do you mean by "heart"?

Yes, it is interesting. Diana was someone basically groomed to be a hero, once past her mother's initial reluctance. She came into the larger world full of heroic determination and good will to find these tested by the harsh realities she found. Meanwhile, Clark was raised by someone who never overcame a much similar reluctance, and he lived from the start in the larger world of gray uncertainty, and slowly discovered the hero inside himself.

It is great that both have different but no lesser paths.

Jonathan's attitude was complex:

There's more at stake here than just our lives, Clark, or the lives of those around us. When the world finds out what you can do it's gonna change everything. Our beliefs, our notions of what it means to be human. Everything. You saw how Pete's mom reacted, right? She was scared, Clark. People are afraid of what they don't understand.

You just have to decide what kind of a man you want to grow up to be, Clark; because whoever that man is, good character or bad, he's... He's gonna change the world.

You are my son. But somewhere out there you have another father too, who gave you another name. And he sent you here for a reason, Clark. And even if it takes you the rest of your life you owe it to yourself to find out what that reason is.

It'd be a huge burden for anyone to bear; but you're not just anyone, Clark, and I have to believe that you were... that you were sent here for a reason. All these changes that you're going through, one day... one day you're gonna think of them as a blessing; and when that day comes, you're gonna have to make a choice... a choice of whether to stand proud in front of the human race or not.

He always believed you were meant for greater things, and that when the day came, your shoulders would be able to bear the weight.

Clark didn't slowly discover the hero inside himself. He always acted heroically (saving Pete, being a guardian angel), and to Jonathan keeping Clark a secret was altruistic; Hippolyta and the Amazons don't have a similar excuse for their absence in the affairs of men nor does Diana considering she remains a hero in hiding to this day.

Ultimately, for Jonathan, keeping Clark's secret was about protecting the world and therefore the greater good. Imagine the kind of responsibility it is to be President of the United States who has tremendous power to affect the lives of others, but then add to that the impact of something as major as the Protestant Reformation of the Christian church or the theory of evolution on culture and society.

Jonathan wasn't telling Clark that he should never be a public hero or savior, but that he had to be ready to take on the burden of what being that would entail. Picture BvS, but instead of Superman being a mature adult, he's a teenager. Can you imagine a 14 or a 17-year old boy being able to take on that kind of responsibility? Do you think that it would be in the best interests of the boy or the world?

7pm tonight in IMAX (aka Lie-MAX).

Let's goooooooo

At the moment I won't be putting them on. Because they are one unit they don't fold well at the knees and are really uncomfortable. I plan to cut them at knees so they will be more flexible. Also, the back leg part is a bit long so it doesn't sit right so I will shorten it. I have a month to fix the outfit before I'm flying to the US. Thank god I have a real conference in LA a week after Comic-Con or otherwise I wouldn't have been able to go.

We're too manly to blush. :argh:

Just curious, is this movie going to be shown in its natural 2.35:1 or the 1.9:1(digital imax) aspect ratio where you're seeing it? Do you know?

It's similar, but it avoids the cliches with its emotional heft.

That's actually kind of what I was wondering, myself. The real problem with the Cliched CGI Final Fight isn't that its, well, CGI, or that its giant scale. The problem is the tendency to drop any concern for story or character while the fight is going on. If the Wonder Woman final battle actually does have 'emotional heft'? Then its not really look the Doomsday battle at all, in the ways that actually count.

( I kind of suspect that the "boring video gamey CGI fight" complaint actually is a 'tangible detail' explanation, btw. People are unsatisfied with the climax, but can't quite put their finger on way, so they blame CGI, when the real problem is the dramatic dead space. )

I think it's about to drop out the 90's on RT so enjoy that while you can

Good thing is that some of us dont have their life's enjoyment revolving around whether this gets 91 or 88 in RT.

Considering the fact that this will probably have around 300 reviews on RT it will need to have more than 30 rotten reviews to go below 90. At the moment it has 11...
