No stars on her outfit though. Shorter the better. Gal's legs cause hnnghn

I would love to see that, even if it's just a one-off transformation as a homage to the show.

WW did that in an episode of Justice League.

I don't think Jenkins should shy away from it either, especially if the word "cheesy" has been banned from her vocabulary.

It would be a real crowd-pleasing moment which could get lots of applause. And it should have the thunderclap sound to accompany it. It would be the equivalent of Superman pulling his shirt open to reveal the S. Is that completely necessary? No. But it's an iconic moment.

Jenkins should put some of these iconic moments back into WW because not everyone knows them now. The WW spin is something that little kids can even imitate once again in the playground. It's putting little touches like these in that elevate it even more to iconic status, and which probably had a hand in doing that in the first place.

I hope no twirling ever comes up. They dropped
he made of clay thing
so I hope they get rid of some of the other ridiculous aspects of WW as well.
Thanx to all who shut down svarec's costume gripes. This outfit is ridiculous? The woman used to run around in a corset and panties for crying out loud; or some more conservative people would say it was just a bathing suit.
I love that her costume is both practical, beautiful, and doesn't work to hide that she's a woman.

The cast respond to those who say WW wears no pants (and other criticisms):

Why does WW have such revealing outfit? This makes it really hard for me to suspend disbelief. If they gave her some cool, warrior-like outfit/armor (like Lady Sif in MCU's Thor), WW could be really badass character, even though my opinion is that Gal Gadot wasn't a good casting choice... But super-short miniskirt, small chestplate, come on... It really takes me out of the story, it's like they are shoving in our faces: "look guys, hot girl, you are going to love this, go see it in a theater!!!"
She has armor on her calfs... cool, but how does it make sense to nut put it also on her thighs ... are her tighs bulletproof, but calfs are not? seriously, wtf. Do women cheering for wonder woman realise how much it undermines the message of strong independent woman... that needs to be almost naked in order to pander to male audiences.
Is she supposed to be role model for little girls? What's the message here? Wear a revealing outfit to please boys?

Have you seen Lynda Carter's outfit? Did you question that as well?

Saw the movie for the 2nd time and I loved it even more. It's already in my top 3 with Dark Knight and Winter Soldier. I might go again tomorrow.

I hope Patty uses the twirling. And the Invisible Plane. And multiple things fans think shouldn't or couldn't be used in these films.

So I just got home from seeing Wonder Woman and my primary reaction is.....WOW

Despite being a straightforward film about heroism, and the good/bad nature of mankind, it was still a very inspiring and hopeful.

Imagine Casablanca meets Superman:The Movie from the 70s with a lot better action sequences.

Throughout this movie Gal Gadot stole the show with the way she conveyed this amount of loving innocence and that's not counting how good her chemistry with Chris Pine is.

The action scenes were all pretty awesome in this film as well...especially the No Man's Land sequence.

Despite me liking the Ultimate Edition of Batman/Superman and liking Man of Steel, those films did have major flaws in them where as here the flaws are minor.

If there is any film in the DCEU that deserves a 9/10 it's this one.

regardless of whether or not the traditional Greco-Roman skirt was sexist for WW to wear (it wasn't) I would like to see her don either a slightly altered suit or a substantially different one

would also be neat if they added a cape

All eyesores. Leave it to the professional DCEU costume dept to dress her.

I wonder if people complaining about Wonder Woman acknowledge the fact that the whole women should cover up thing comes from a time when people believed that Women were better left unseen in society because they were "too distracting"?

Repackaging that as "pro woman" is silly to me because I always thought the point was that women can wear whatever they want lol. Her costume is meant to subvert that old notion.....plus it's fantasy

I wonder if the corset scene in WW when she's trying on different clothing is a nod to that. She asks if that is what passes for armour in their world.

I wish they had kept the glasses. She had a hot librarian thing going on!

She can always get them back.

Someone's glasses got stepped on in the alley. Was it hers or someone else's?

And as Etta Candy pointed out, it didn't take away from her beauty at all.

Nah, I would say the moment has passed...

And it was her glasses that got stepped on in the alley-fight.
And her beauty is truly beyond being spoiled by anything!

I do like this one, but not necessarily for Wonder Woman. Change it a little and it could suit really well for a female Captain America!

So whats the deal with the sword in BvS? It looks like the same one.

Didn't they try to give Wonder Woman pants in the new 52 and people hated it?

It looked bad, and it also didn't work in David E Kelly's TV pilot of WW either. I half associate it with that now.

The movie look will probably become the iconic look now, and the thing that shows up on all Halloween costumes.

The handle is different. The sword in Wonder Woman is called the God Killer Sword and the one she has in BvS is called the Sword of Athena

And just like Superman's costume in BvS, Zack put a Joseph Cambell quote her sword and shield.
"Life is killing life all the time and so the goddess kills herself in the sacrifice of her own animal."

I keep forgetting to ask this and have been for years, but what is WW's day job? Clark is a reporter, Bruce is Bruce Wayne, what does she do for money and what not?

What if Superman lost his glasses in the alley? If either it got stepped on or Lois didn't put it back on his face but pulled it down instead?

I think that

it would've been good for Diana to still have the glasses when she went before British Intelligence and was deciphering the book and also introducing herself, where Steve corrected her and introduced her as Diana Prince.

But it's clear she doesn't have a secret identity in this movie, nor does she even consider that she needs one. She probably doesn't even know the concept of secret identities. She's pretty much like Thor in this respect.

In the present, she's a curator at the Louvre.

In the past, she would've traditionally been part of the US military. Don't know what this version of Diana can be now in the past.

With her knowledge of language, I'd imagine she'd honor Steve and work as a spy herself to 1. retrieve more intel on conflicts, and 2. become more familiarized with man's world's different culture outside of London. This will have her continually working with Etta and Steve's band of merry men as well, so there's a familiarity for her there.
