Since Wonder Woman is such a hit DC they said that they wouldn't put out a sequel to Wonder Woman but given the success thus far I think it is safe to say that we DC fans we WW fans should get a sequel and if DC decides to greenlight a sequel for Gadot and company it is only a matter of time if and when the sequel does happen

But also with that in mind then I wonder if a WW sequel would be apart of Phase 2 of the DCEU

I don't get the feeling the DCEU will be done in phases like the MCU.

It would make sense if the DCEU put the WW sequel in a next phase so that way the DC people could better organize just which films come out next

Seeing it for 2nd time on Tues, this time in 3D.

‘Wonder Woman’ Breaks Glass Ceiling For Female Directors & Stomps On ‘Iron Man’ With $100.5M Debut – Sunday AM:
The success of Wonder Woman this weekend even impressed John Fithian, National Association of Theatre Owners CEO & President who exclaimed, ““I want to congratulate Patty Jenkins, Gal Gadot and Warner Bros on the terrific opening, but Wonder Woman’s success is everybody’s success. AT NATO, at CinemaCon, we have for years called for diversity in movies that match the diversity of our audiences, not just because it’s a good idea but because it’s good business. What we really look forward to is the day when a movie directed by a woman and telling a woman’s story is no longer news because it was successful – or even that it was produced at all – because such movies should be a matter of routine. We will grow our audiences by telling more stories that tell their stories.”

WB definitely needs to set a sequel for 2019/2020. Don't be pulling that Star Trek crap with me and have us wait 5/6 years between.

At the theater in my seat, starts in 15 mins!! :woot:

Then I would go with a 2020 release for Wonder Woman 2

“Wonder Woman” is a global hit.

In addition to the historic $100.5 million that Warner Bros. and DC Comics’ latest lassoed in at the domestic box office, international grosses at 55 markets accounted for $122.5 million this weekend, giving the movie a global opening of $223 million.

The international numbers are higher than many other super hero films including the first two Thor and Iron Man movies, both Guardians of the Galaxys, and “Man of Steel.”

China powered the international sales with $38 million, the fourth largest opening of all time for a Warner Bros. film. Korea brought in $8.5 million in earnings, followed closely behind by Mexico ($8.4 million) and Brazil ($8.3 million). The film also showed strong in the U.K. where it earned $7.5 million.

Patty Jenkins now holds the banner for the best domestic opening for a female director, topping “Fifty Shades of Grey’s” Sam Taylor-Johnson ($85.1 million). Before “Wonder Woman,” Jenkins’ only feature was “Monster” — an Academy Award winner that she made more than a decade ago with an $8 million budget.

Gal Gadot stars in the film as the titular hero. The Israeli actress — also known for her role in the Fast and Furious franchise — made her debut as Diana Prince in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” and will also appear at least twice more in both “Justice League” movies if she doesn’t get a sequel of her own.

This is WB, even if they start preparing for a sequel right now, the next WW movie will come out in 3 years.

I thought Zack already confirmed that a Wonder Woman sequel will be happening.

Plus putting out a sequel in 2020 would make sense

Wonder Woman I am going to go see it again just so I can enjoy the cinematography of it all but also because of the score too

Not gonna lie, as much as I want Jenkins for WONDER WOMAN 2 and I'm sure Gadot wants that as well, to truly move forward and be progressive in this process, if I'm Jenkins, I ask for JUSTICE LEAGUE 2.

Think about what she delivered for the studio this weekend. A new franchise. Maybe a new superstar actress. A film that's being considered the savior of the DCEU (I don't think so, but...), a historic film that broke serious barriers...

...why should she settle for just the sequel?

I want nothing more for Snyder to come back, fully of mind, body, and spirit, and direct JUSTICE LEAGUE 2 but we all assumed after what happened with BATMAN v SUPERMAN that once Snyder was done with JUSTICE LEAGUE, he was gone anyway. Johns was taking the universe in a new direction and it seems WONDER WOMAN is that direction.

Why shouldn't Jenkins get JUSTICE LEAGUE 2?

Also depends if she wants it.

I loved Gal's delivery in the last voiceover. One of my favorite moments/lines in any movie!

Jenkins if anything under her direction she basically made WW a hit but at the same time it was more or less the writing the storyline team that went behind WW that made it a hit but if anything could I see her coming back for a WW sequel? Perhaps but honestly I would rather see her in the director's chair for Justice League 2

She has a personal and emotional stake in WW, why would you assume she's "settling" by staying on course? That's silly.

And after all the iffy CG that was sporadic throughout the film, I fear she would absolutely crumble with the high-octane action required by the mainline ensemble. This is probably where Snyder excels, in spite of my trepidations of his CG-style.

Yeah, if she wants to make WW2 then that is what she is going to make. If she doesnt want to make Justice League 2 forcing her to do so in the name of "progress" is anything but progress. She has earned the right to what she wants.

But Patty Jenkins coming back to WW2 makes sense especially given for example Jon Favreau coming back for more than one IM film as director then her directing WW2 for DC would make sense it all depends on contracts really
