I'll have to agree to disagree on both counts. Ares is rumored to be the main villain, if that's true he likely will draw potent psychic power from the First World War with plans to dethrone Zeus and I'm thinking it'll be Wondy's mission to stop all of that. Of course, we also don't know what year Diana enters the war, that would be helpful info.

Btw, I wasn't saying the goddesses should turn Diana into a mindless slave to do their bidding. But in her book I do like when the pantheon interferes in Diana's life--for good or for bad. And a god magically crashing Steve's jet into the island, for any reason, isn't forcing her hand. She still has free will to either enter the competition or not, or leave the island or stay at the palace.

Speaking about the same initials, I was playing with the idea of her getting "Wonder Woman" name as a codename, having something to do with her activities in World War I, like they deliberately going for the same initials... though I couldn't really think of a way this would play out.

If Ares is the villain then Diana's main goal would be to stop Ares. The war would be fully underway and she can't directly pull political strings to end it. But she can stop Ares.

Ares may manipulate the war and cause further chaos, and the only thing Diana could do would be to stop Ares before he creates further destruction.

It took me a while, but he changed the "WW" and "WW1" to "Wonder Woman" and "World War 1."

Yeah, I got it. But I brought up the idea of her getting codename Wonder Woman being somehow connected to World War I, when his original post with WW and WWI reminded me of the same initials those two share, hence his edit... ah, you know what, it really doesn't matter.

Hey guys, I know there's been some talk of a set pics thread, and I think this would be a good time to remind everyone of the legal trouble the Hype was in about a year ago over some pics of that sort (from 3rd party photogs who owned the photos), which resulted in autobans of some posters that were completely beyond the control of any mods or admins. In fact a couple of mods got flagged once or twice and almost got autobanned as well (it's a 3-strike rule). Set pics are not a good idea here. Link to other websites that post them all you want, but if you post them here, you won't be infracted or get into any trouble by any of us - you're just posting at your own risk that if you get flagged for 3rd party copyright violation 3 times (which is also not something we do ourselves), you will be autobanned, and we won't be allowed to let you back.

We don't need rumors to think the villain will be Ares. It may end up not being him, but it's pretty much given since it's a World War (who else would fit better as a villain?) and he's the origin villain.

If it's not him, then it's probably none of her other villains as well (how would any of her other villains figure into WWI without Ares?), and just WW trying to stop a war. Which would be underwhelming.

I don't believe any of the rumors, but I'm sure it will be Ares.

You know when i was reading up on past lounges on the community forum i did see the lounge back in december last year where a ton of hypesters got in some legal trouble over some paparazzi photos i believe.

I think it will be important, just that we will move through different time periods. It probably won't be all WW1 stuff. Filming has just started and we may see the changes to different time periods soon enough (if we're lucky to get set pics.)

Also, it's a bit silly having Wonder Woman appear in multiple trailers without saying a single line of dialogue - Diana is more than eye candy!
