Anthony Russo: Well, we did a lot of research and experimented with the looks of each character. We went through the same process with Spider-Man. It's Spider-Man. They have him jumping around and shooting webs and people will know who he is.

That might be an indication this isn't just a rubber or spandex suit.

It could just be like what they're doing with BP's suits, adding a texture to it so that its visually pops better on screen than any material they have would.

They could do special effects like they did for Deadpool with eyes. For Spider-man could mean eyes (emotions), web pits, maybe even web pattern on the costume. Maybe even colors.

I am not a fan of special effects, but if they are subtle enough they can make it work as long it isnt obvious to my eyes costume is CGI and fake.

Dude, it's not like Spider-Man's going to have his own separate movie within a movie. He'll share most of his screentime with other characters. Doesn't need to hog up anything by being in there.

Maybe he gets on a quinjet with Tony Stark and his team? A more likely scenario is that Spider-Man lives in the same city as the UN Headquarters. From there, it should be an easier sell.

Cap gets help from Scott (the weird Ant Man guy), while Tony gets help from Peter (the weird Spider Man guy)? Like the same set up but just on opposite sides? Then theres a reason for Spidey to be there.

Maybe theres someone who contacts Spider Man, kinda like Falcon/Scott but for Tonys side. It would be awesome if Vision flew around NYC and found Spidey.

I don't think so. Cap needs help from Ant-Man because they don't have the tech or resources needed. What does Spider-Man bring to Team Iron Man that the rest of the team doesn't already? They've got two smart guys and unlimited wealth and funding.

At his prime he is not weaker than half the character you mentioned, and a lot more powerful that the ones not mentioned.

However, in this film he is an amateur kid... but he has time to grow!

I dont think The Russos wouldve planned from the start he was always gonna be in it if he was considered useless to what was going on.

Also Spider Man is really strong, so describing him as a weakling isnt right either.

I was actually kind of hoping they would do that. It's not entirely necessary for the character, but if you've noticed in almost every animated version of Spider-Man (the Fox cartoon up until Ultimate and the latest cartoon series) have made Spider-Man's eyes expressive. It definitely adds to the humor of the character.

I agree works for Deadpool. Will not work in the MCU.

Personally can suspend my disbelief as to how Peter makes his costume, but if he suddenly has moving eyes that goes beyond.

Besides you can portray emotions without the face. Hopefully they won't get Holland to keep removing the mask either.
