This is Spider Man though. you cant totally revamp him visually, esp if this is the first version in the MCU. He needs to look like Spidey at least, the other character stuff is different. They can change him a bit more.

As long as he has the same color scheme and Spider motif they can get away with more changes than you think. As long as people can immediatley see and tell it's spider-man it'll be fine.

Thats my point, if he doesnt look like Spidey, people will be put off. Changes can only go so far on that costume.

The backpack I don't mind, not as a permanent piece of the costume, but definitely for his morning and afternoon commutes. I agree with not having the goggles, skater gloves and kneepads though. It automatically cheapens the suit.

It's a comic book movie; by tge very definition we're dealing with pure nonsense and absurdity. Just give me the proper damn spidey costume.
