Civil War Along Came a Spider - The Peter Parker / Spider-Man Thread

I love we got the tick Spider on the back, but the front one seems awfully small.

I love the look of the suit, I think everyone's main problem is that is full CGI in that shot.

Facebook fanboys are currently erupting over it.

Yeah, I'd really like the see the actual suit on a real person.

Although I'm really digging it, even the things that didn't go the way I wanted, like the Romita eyes, there are other things that are bugging me.

The additions to the design are very reminiscent of the style choices for Cap's suits.
I know Stark had his hand in all the Avenger's suits, and we can probably assume that Spidey get's his slick duds from Stark, but it's a bit weird for it to mirror Cap in that feel.

Also, a lot of those design elements were introduced in TWS, and that suit was Cap's SHIELD uniform, not his Avengers one, which would suggest Stark wasn't involved in the design. He just modified/built upon it when designing Cap's AOU Suit.

Any who, a lot of that doesn't really bother me, like who designed what when, except that it just seems off for Stark to make Spidey's dud recall Cap's.

Those design elements I don't mind being incorporated that much, could have done without them, however it just hit me what actually is making them look odd. While they seem to draw from Cap's TWS, and forward, uniforms, on Spidey, they start feeling like Cap's Avengers (the first one) suit. You know, the ugly ass Cap uniform.

Especially the Vs on the shoulders.

I know. Watching the trailer, I kept analyzing whether or not it looked like Spidey would be showing up.

About 2/3 of the way through, I concluded 'nope.'

Then the title came up, and I thought MAYBE as a stinger, then, as soon as Tony says "UNDEROOS", I knew it, and peed a little.

I see some Ultimate Spider-Man(Cartoon) elements with classic Ditko but overall this is amazing! I was not expecting the eyes to move. I thought they were going to do Iron Spider, but this is even better!!!

It's just you. Suit is definitely blue and red (with black bits)

Costume feels like it's missing texture. Looks a bit too much like body paint at present.

That costume is almost perfect! It feels very 60s. It looks really good but I'm not a fan of the material. It makes it look like CGI and I know it is.

Not amazed by the costume but to be honest I was so excited to see Spidey I didn't care! As with all suits though I will wait until we see it in the final movie before passing judgement.

IMO it's not, the landing could be done with wires, and Holland is more than able to do it. It does look too clean though. But I don't think it's CGI, people jump too soon crying CGI in every shot nowadays.
