I've been holding off on this one hoping someone would beat me to the punch and save me the type fest, but I figure with all the years I've been at SHH I should give back a bit. So I was at a convention in Las Vegas last week called Magic, it's for the clothing industry, I go primarily for T-shirts cause it's what I do for a living. Anyhow I went out to see some friends of mine at thier booth, it's a company called Mad Engine, I used to work there and they are the main licensor for Marvel Comics in T-Shirts. Anyhow they had a widescreen t.v. playing various clips of the upcoming Hulk movie and it showcased early animatics for the film. I saw a few animations of the Hulk in New York, they were not fully rendered out just in rough greyscale form, but it was pretty cool. Some of the things I saw were the Hulk running up a side of a building and elbow dropping a car (kind of a Wrestling move), the Hulk smashing to cars together to form boxing gloves (I remember a similar move in a Hulk video game that came out two years ago) and Hulk smashing down Helicopters in the Air with cars. There was some concept art shown, Bruce Banner running across New York rooftops with army/swat officers chasing him and the Hulk Flexing in rage. They played alot of clips from the T.V. Show too so I figure they were trying to convey a sense of the man on the run scenario that show featured. The Hulk I saw was VERY Ripped, and had the same face as the video clip that was on You Tube after Comic Con. I would have liked to taken snapshots but you cant bring cameras of any kind at Magic due to the competitive nature of the clothing industry. If you have any other questions I can answer I will, all in all it was brief but I was very happy with what I saw. LOTS of action and in New York.

Ultimate Destruction refrences? Pretty cool. I'd have to see it in the context of the film before I can truly decide if awesome, or cheesy.

Nice! Sounds like some great action! If done correctly this movie could kick all kinds of ass! C'mon Norton and LL, don't let us down!

Could you say a bit more about the appearance of Hulk and the action in New York? Any signs of Abomination?

No Abomination from what I saw it was mostly the police and army types chasing him, it was hard to watch actually cause the owner of the company watermarked his name in the center of the screen and i kept seeing the name Alby Amato over and over again. It may have just been animation tests for all I know, but it was just random shots of the Hulk smahsing things, using the buildings as "walls" to jump off of, the fighting had a bit of pro wrestling involved not unlike the last fight in Blade 2.

Cool....They were supposed to have some Hulk and Iron man merchandise from the up coming movies there. See any of that?

damn, the more i hear about the movie the more i'm excited i get, seriously i'm about to explode, and not in my pants

Sounds cool. Guess they're keeping the Abomination look quiet for as long as possible.

No Movie Merchandise yet, the style guides wont be updated till near release from what I heard, I worked on the X3 shirts and we didn't get those till two months prior, but I'll keep my ear open for any new in that direction. The onyl thing they had there was Neon colored shirts, kinda early 90's looking stuff but it wasnt movie related just classic marvel.

Ok....I had read an article a week or so back saying Mad Engine and Giant Merchandising would have a few things from the movie there.
Thanks for the info though.

Hulk smashing to cars together to form boxing gloves?
In a videogame? It's cool
In a live-action movie? .... oh my....

I can't find this anywhere else online or in blogs or anything. Thanks again for posting it. I did find a gallery of pics from the show and I was shocked to see some topless chics in some wonderful poses...but no Hulk stuff.

The 'Hulk boxing gloves' thing does sound a little cartoony. Maybe what the poster saw was developements for a new Hulk game that coresponds with the release of the live action movie.

No it was from the movie and it wasn't cartoony either, I worked at Mad Engine for over a year, we got early rpomo vids like that for X3, Spiderman 3 and Ghost Rider

Would you mind explaining how it did look in detail then. As in was it like gloves (As in Ultimate Destruction) or two halfs of a car just hanging off his fists.

I'd think the latter would be pretty bad***

If the Hulk is 9ft tall if he's grabbing two cars like that is surely Hulk like.

I'll have to see it to make that call myself.

Who knows......
Well there was supposed to be some type of hulk movie stuff there. From the link I posted.

I'll take his word for it. Why would he lie?

I'm not saying he's lying. It's a matter of opinion. What may look cartoony to me, or someone else, may look fine to him..or say, you.
