Just caught up on S3, and those last few episodes were so crazy, including Herogasm. Not as graphic as I expected, but it still delivered on so many elements such as great performances, plot twists, brutal fights and violence, and so on.

Homelander talking to his reflection in the mirror gave me Green Goblin vibes!!

So many moments shocked me:
A-Train apologizing to Hughie, then killing Blue Hawk and suffering a heart attack.
Hughie, Soldier Boy, Butcher vs Homelander
Various moments at the party
Starlight blasting Hughie
Starlight quitting Vought

Episode 7 was pretty amazing though

Noir
really comes off like an actual hero or besides Maeve he is the least messed up from the original group. He is setting up to be killed though it seems since he is on Solider Boys list. Now that Solider Boy revealed to Homelander that they are connected, I don't think Homelander will be happy when Noir and him are fighting. He has such parent issues and needing to be loved. I can see Homelander killing Noir and it being caught on film. Noir seems loved by the public.

Kimiko
Think that was expected glad she realized her powers can be good and not make her a monster. I wonder if the V could give her another ability or she just gained the same ones.

Soldier Boy, Butcher, and Hughie
Thought that whole adventure was amazing we see how much of a bastard Soldier Boy is, though he was right about the two people being brain washed. He generally seems like he has good instincts and battle, he is just a blunt egomaniac and steals valor.

the Butcher scenes were good wish he actually learned something from them but damn does not seem like it.

Hughie tried to be a hero and I think he actually means it now that he does not want to do this. The going to office for V I think he will not actually take it. He is over the high after what just happen, unless he takes it and teleports enough to get far far away.

The Deep really had me laughing that scene was great and when he was arguing he actually had a bit of a tone change. Maybe he actually meant some of it.

Think Ashley lied to A-Train maybe hoping he tries to run and just dies. If not I am glad we can get more speedster visuals.
 
Wow this episode hit hard on so many levels and that reveal at the end definitely got me. I pretty much loved everything with Butcher and Black Noir who finally got some great character development and only a show like this can actually make me feel some genuine sympathy for such a psychopathic character.

No idea what's going to happen next, but man that finale is going to be real doozy.
 
I still feel like Homelander will

kill soldier boy. Sure. They will have their father/son moment, but he wants to be the mvp of the world. Him being the hero that killed this rogue superhero legend etc. I also get a doom and gloom vibe around Frenchie. I don't think he makes it out alive.
 
They have a little thing after credits of episode 7 by the way. Nothing major but neat.
 
Wow what an episode. There was a lot of heart in this one; it really showed how the team has built itself into a family in a James Gunn type of way.
I think, or at least I HOPE that Butcher ultimately stops Hughie from using more Temp V. I know that they are planning to steal more but I think he’s just going to use it on himself because he doesn’t care what happens to him. But I think he’ll keep Hughie from using it because he sees his brother in him and he doesn’t want to be responsible for his death.

And the stuff with Kimiko and Frenchie was great. Karen Fukuhara has just been amazing this season. This is easily her best season yet. I’m looking forward to Bullet Train; hopefully she has a good role in that film. I would love to see her pop up (as Katana again) in Peacemaker. She was just kinda there in Ayer’s Suicide Squad film but James Gunn could work wonders with her, I’m sure. I could see a subplot where she goes after Chris for killing Flagg but ultimately teams up with him.

Homelander going all QAnon Trumper at that rally was perfect. Love Newman confronting him afterwards too. She’s such a compelling villain and I hope she makes it out of this season alive because I want her role to continue to grow. I wonder if she will end up becoming the running mate of the guy running for President. I think the character she is based on was the VP in the comic, right?

Loved Starlight totally pwning Homelander with the hot mic. Not sure how he can weasel out of that one.

Soldier Boy is an even bigger POS than I thought, wow. Glad we got that scene with Paul Reiser (great as always) which allowed us to see a different side to his character and the guilt he feels for getting rich off allowing a guy like Soldier Boy to run wild. And obviously the SB/Homelander father/son thing will be interesting to see unfold. I have no predictions. They could team up or Homelander could end up killing him. Or he could depower Homelander. It will be interesting no matter what happens.
 
My favorite ongoing gag is The Legend's never ending effort to impress Hughie by name dropping his sexual conquests of 80s era celebrities. Though BOTH Jacqueline Bissett and Jaclyn Smith is awfully impressive. Reiser has been fantastic.
 
What I liked most about this episode was that they showed why Soldier Boy was hated so much by his team mates. Now I get it…especially with Black Noir. I mean, Noir is still terrible, but I get the hatred for Soldier Boy now. He’s at the same level as Homelander.
 
I wish they kept Noir as he was in the comics, it would've been such an awesome twist

Every fan of the show I've told about it has said, basically, "WHHAAAAAAT! Thats f**ing crazy!"

Yeah the show is far above the average show out there. I was certainly not expecting to see character development and a sympathetic showing of modern Noir.
 
Yeah this might genuinely be top 2 cape**** shows for me.

The fact that it's even getting close to Daredevil at this point is borderline scary to me

It makes Homelander a better villain. It undercuts so much of the character, it is a twist for twists sake.
 
What is the twist in the comics? I guess tag it if needed.
