Andor General News & Discussion Thread (TAG SPOILERS)

If you have previously gotten in trouble for caping for transphobia, probably not a good idea to do it again.

Awesome. Sounds like Andor is the type of protagonist that Boba Fett SHOULD have been… morally flexible, conniving and ruthless. I loved Rogue One so I’m very interested to see more of that world. It’s a shame that Jyn Erso didn’t have a history prior to that movie because it would be cool to see her show up in this series. Though I suppose it could still happen as long as she doesn’t interact with Cassian himself.

It’s funny looking back to the reactions from four years ago in this thread to now. Andor really was the underdog, and a lot of people are really excited for it to come next week!

I'll gladly admit I was amongst the people asking 'why' when they announced Andor. Then it went to 'wow' and 'when'. :D

Seems like great reactions to Andor so far. Looks like they chose the right show to take to a longer season.

…just rewatched the masterpiece Rogue One, and now I’m going to stay up till 2am;

I've only been able to watch the first episode during lunch. Judging by the ending that isn't the full pilot yet. However, everything I've seen so far is great. It's a take on Star Wars that feels very fresh and mature.

Definitely a slow burn, they are going to lose the need a quick fix and heroic pay off fans. This does seem more like a Brit tv procedural, only peripherally in the SW U. Alternatively seen from both the police and the outlaws pov.
I can appreciate it is by design starting in the gritty street level, and absolute minutia of both, only ever hinting at the bigger picture.
You know this is not the guy who ever gets they mythological weapon or armor, the super powers, the kiss from the princes, the reward, medal, accolades or the fanfare parade. ... and that's not what he's after.

This is amazing and exactly what I've wanted... on the ground look at fascism within Star Wars; a perfect prequel to Rebels/Rogue One. I also watched Solo on Monday night, it's nice seeing a grander version of the first 20 minutes of the Post-Fall Of The Republic street life in that film.

A really impressive start and the kind of Star Wars show that I've always wanted to see as well. This is such a refreshing change of pace for the franchise, and I hope we get more of it.
