There are other actresses who scream 'Catwoman' more to me BUT the majority of the actresses they were considering were horrible to begin with specially the last list who were all apparently screen tested with Bale - Hathaway, Knightley, Biel, Mara, Riley and Arterton (sp?). Anne was leagues above all those. The only one who comes closest to 2nd is Keira (who IMO is gorgeous and a good actress as well but she's too frail looking to be Catwoman). Anne checks most of the boxes - gorgeous, good actress, has enough buzz, great body, etc. I think she'll deliver.

Apparently she was supposed to screen test if her schedule permits it (and she already accepted the lead female role for Hansel and Gretel making it more unlikely for her).

Well my first choice was Anne, and I said that a year ago so ... and apparently Gemma was in the running so my ideas arent too crazy.

Some people wanted, and still want, 2-d actresses like Scarlett Johansson or Jessica Biel.

I dont think so, she was great in Pirate Radio, she just gets a bad rep because she was in Prince of Persia and Clash of the Titans even though she was the only glimmer of light in those s***-piles. She was good in Quantum of Solace for the minute she had.

Yep... it's my major concern with Hathaway's casting. If The Dark Knight is going to ''Rise'' in this movie... then Anne is going to have to work some serious magic on Christian.

Of course... maybe we were all too harsh on Franco at the Oscars and it will foreshadows Christian feelings lol. I kid , I kid. I'm sure Anne and Christian chatted at awards ceremony and know they need to at least looked loved up come May.

Anne's done films with lots of sexual tension and chemistry before and no doubt she will be fine, I have more doubt with Bale when it comes to that department. He'll just have to act like hes attracted to Anne Hathaway

Bale never seems all that connected to his female co-stars... it'll be interesting to see how he responds to her in terms of chemistry.

But your right... and Oscar-winning actor like him can surely convince us he is atrracted to Anne Hathaway.

I don't think Bale can produce sexual chemistry, and I don't think Nolan would recognize it if it sat on his face.

All hopes rest on Hathaway's slender shoulders, I am afraid.

Hathaway needs to bring a bit of sexual tension into this franchise.
