Antje Traue IS Faora in The Man of Steel - Part 2

The top comment (at the moment) sums it up pretty well:Maybe she didn't feel like participating in that stupid little game or, polite as she is, just wanted to let Jeff Bridges have the opportunity to show off his geek knowledge.

She actually seems a bit shy, which is understandable considering how much attention she's been getting of late.

Go to JustJared. I'm too lazy to upload all the little images ;)

Now we can not hope to return Faora in a sequel "MoS". :csad:

thx for the Comic Con Coverage :yay:

She doesn't know that Superman's name is Kal-El? Umm.. she was in the movie. Hmm...

English is not her native language. So she has to be more concentrated to follow the conversation. And basically I think when the talk took the geeky direction to Tron helmets, red kryptonite and melting Dorian Grey faces, Antje's brain just you fell into "bypass mode".
So she got caught off guard with the Kal-El question. :yay:

That's a good point; I agree.

People often forget that actors are not necessarily fans of the subject matter for which they find themselves working in. Sure they'll pay lip service to the fans when it comes to promoting the film but often the reality is that an actor is primarily a 'hired gun' brought in to bring the character to life on screen. Once principal photography is wrapped they move on. Genre film fans in particular are often highly judgmental of actors that don't display an encyclopedic knowledge of their characters background. They lose sight of the fact that more often as not the role/story is just a job to an actor.

It rather reminds of Summer Glau bringing many fans of The Terminator franchise crashing back to Earth when she stated that she had never seen any of the Terminator films despite playing one on The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Well, I (and probably a "few" other people) don't consider "Batman vs. Superman", "World's Finest" or whatever it's going to be called a proper sequel to "Man of Steel". Even if it's supposed to be set up as a direct follow-up to MoS (addressing the aftermath of the failed Terraforming attempt, the repercussions of taking Zod's life and all that) it still is just some kind of spin-off and not MoS 2, as far as I'm concerned.

I wouldn't give up on the idea of the Kryptonians somehow returning from the Phantom Zone just yet, there still is the possibility for that to happen in the real sequel (or even threequel) to MoS. Sucks though that we most likely won't be seeing those getting made until 2017/2018 and 2019/2020 respectively.

There's a little bit of Antje in this interview Entertainment Weekly did with the cast of "Seventh Son" at Comic-Con:

For free?
No, not yet. At least to my knowledge.

Too bad that Zod is kind of indisposed at the moment, or else we already would have them at our disposal by now.

A question to the native English speakers:

Many comments on youtube and here say that her accent is so cute.
But it is not a typical German accent.
So if you wouldn't know that Antje is from Germany, which country/region of the world would you guess she's from according to her accent?

I don't have a very sharp ear for these kinds of things, but I would've guessed Sweden. Mainly because one of my professors has a similar sort accent and he was Swedish.

Since Faora is getting so much love, there might be a reason to include her in upcoming sequels. Peggy Carter from Captain America was just supposed to be in the first movie, but because of the love her character got from the fans, she's now getting a mini-movie and they're hinting at a future tv show, so we can only hope the same love gets extended to Faora......

She's also reprising her role in the sequel -- aged up of course.
