I think that minority is getting bigger...
But as much as I agree, the problem isn't Felicity any more than it was Laurel last year. It's the CW writers requiring a female love interest to be mopey/whiney and deliver monologues.
You remove Felicity and Laurel steps up to do it. Or Thea.
It's the same reason Iris gets hates on the Flash, yet if they put Barry with Caitlin, everyone would hate her instead.
There must always be... a Felicity. Thats the trade off for having these shows on the CW.
Yep... For some reason, the writers can't handle multiple great female characters. Just when one seem to be getting better, a good character deteriorates. It's not a good sign when a character deteriorates when she is finally paired to the male lead as the love interest. It happened to Laurel in the past seasons and now they're killing the Felicity charater with it.
It's not just these superhero shows... A lot of CW characters get better once they are not burdened with a love interest. *cough*VampireDiaries*cough*
