You know what I just realized: why is Slade just now getting an army together when he's had 5 like several years of prep time? Shouldn't he have already had that together? Or am I nitpicking?

I think I'm nitpicking.

Well, he didn't need one before. Do you know how much it costs to maintain an army of minions? I mean, just the health benefits alone... :woot:

To be honest though, he didn't need an army until now, he knew exactly where to get them once the time came, and he was still trying to perfect and produce the Mirakuru. It makes all the sense.

I really enjoyed this episode. It did a great job of representing exactly how dangerous Slade is, even when he almost never engages in physical violence. In this episode, Slade resorted to physical violence only once: shooting the two police officers so that he could free those convicts. For the rest of the episode, all of his actions involve psychological manipulation and divide-and-conquer tactics. And he ends up causing a huge amount of damage to Arrow and his team with these methods alone.

I also enjoyed Summer Glau in this episode. She was very impressive as Isabel. I want to see more of her.
