This episode made up for the mediocore Birds of Prey + Suicide Squad episodes.

Deathstroke is da man.

Bad News Wilson!

Haha, brilliant. :D

Slade was the man, telling everybody everything at each turn. Great episode and I have no idea how Ollie can turn this around.

"They're calling you Deathstroke."

"It's a little flamboyant. I like it."

Well..great episode..till the very last scene with Laurel..
her acting is just atrocious in this show.

I was kind of hoping in my heart that he'd just gut Laurel there and be done with it. :lips:

So is Isabella just working for Slade or is she
Rose Wilson/Ravager

Spoiler ALert!!! for next episode Laurel ....Di
cries

Past 2 episodes were mediocre but this finally put it back on track. Ill be honest the show can do without Roy Harper and Canary. Arrow HQ is getting abit cramped since now laurel knows, surely someones heading for the cutting block.

Roy I can do without. sarah I would like to stay around but even I one of biggest fans of sarah as BC on show can admit Slade telling laurel may very well
be sign Sarah Is on her way out for them to build up Laurel. Laurel and Roy are
the dead wreight on show as far as I am concerned.

No matter what happens to Sarah I think Oliver and Felicity may be coming
after scene ofher being one who told him to do whatever it takes to get
Thea back.

Anyone notice that Laurel's face is filling out a little bit? She doesn't look as gaunt as she did earlier in the season. She is looking good again. :)

Yes. I'm wondering now if Katie Cassidy deliberately lost weight as part of her "addiction" storyline? If she did, then I admire her dedication. She's still no Christian Bale in that regard, but good nonetheless.

I'm certain that's what she did, looked a lot healthier this episode.

I hope Roy doesn't go anywhere. He's got actual comic history with the Arrow, unlike Digg & Felicity.

Roy is good..The one I hope is not going anywhere is Deathstroke/slade/manu bennet.

The show needs good actors... menacing actors... it makes the heroes better....

I hope he escapes and comes back after the season finale.

9/10

A worthy sequel to The Promise, and an excellent treatment on how to make a physically imposing villain psychologically and emotionally threatening as well. Almost all of Deathstroke's assaults on Oliver in this episode were the results of weaponized trolling! Weaponized Trolling!!! someone needs to make a .gif of that creepy smile Slade gives Ollie in The Promise as Moira reveals his cover story as an Arrow specific troll-face.

I did like Blood's temper-tantrum. I still hope he strikes out on his own by City of Blood: about the only real way Ollie can retake the initiative against Slade is if his villain team falls apart, and Blood's never been a henchman in other stories. I also don't know if we'll see an Ollie/Merlin team up this year. Slade letting Thea go avoids the scenario we've been anticipating.

everybody is talking about Sade and his "prep time" but deathstroke in the book is a master tactician of that more so than even Bane was! which is what i dig on this show! it's been about 5 years since he and Ollie was on that island. so this dude has been plotting all this since then. i love that! it contrasts against Blood who wants everything right now! the best villains are the one who plot and plan and lie in wait for years!
and i kinda believe he will use those convicts on the bus in a larger part of that plan! Slade is an awesome MOFO bad guy!

Yeah,I loved that too.:awesome:

The last thing I want to see is Merlin and Ollie teaming up.He should remain the Arch-Nemesis.Slade could team-up with Ollie at some point if need be,but I wouldn't exactly welcome that either.

Merlyn was NEVER Oliver's archenemy on this show, that's Slade's role. Merlyn's plan had nothing to do with either Oliver or GA. They only came into contact when Oliver tried to stop him and even then it didn't seem personal. Slade on the other hand, his plan is all about a personal grudge against Oliver (and Sara presumably).

It wasn't personal until the very end. Merlyn threatened to kill Moira and Thea after bringing Oliver to his knees, and it was that last bit of *****ebaggery that did him in.

To be honest, I don't think that Malcolm hated Oliver even half as much as Oliver hates him.

Seriously. Slade and Oliver's beef pre-dates Merlyn. Ya I know Merlyn blew up the boat but that stuff wasn't revealed until long after the Oliver/Slade thing went down. It's a personal blood feud between them.

Slade is to Oliver what Joker is to Batman.

Great episode, Slade's biggest moves in his game of Chess so far and he has Ollie on the ropes. In one swoop Slade turned Thea against him, took his company and exposed his secret to his former girlfriend who also works in the DA's office. On top of that, byproducts of the play by Slade have been Quentin losing his job and Roy going rogue.

Of course the latter two things are more down to Ollie's mistakes, but his realization that his bad calls as leader have been an enemy within is a big step for him in turning things around.

I thought Amell was really good in this ep and Bennett was again fantastic, I love the contrast between Island Slade and present day Slade. On the island he's brimming with intensity and barely contained rage, in the present he's cool and calculating in his actions, although we saw that fire come out when Blood questioned him.

Along with fantastic scenes from the two lead adversaries, Willa Holland, Susanna Thompson and Summer Glaiu all delivered in their pivotal scenes, and the action sequence in the warehouse with Ollie taking out the goons was another fantastic example of this shows quality stunt and fight choreography.

The final scene with the original trio sets things up nicely and played well off the scene of Felicity stepping forward to tell Ollie to go and get Thea back by any means necessary.
