I wonder if Malcolm is going to try and connect with her, maybe lure her to his side?

I doubt it. He's probably going for the "His heart, Osbourne. First we attack his heart" school revenge.

Rip Thea away from Moira, Roy, and Ollie.

Pretty good episode but I.hate the Count. Awful joker wanna be

I could have sworn that at the end of the episode Malcolm says "Imagine my joy at learning that Thea isn't my daughter."

It wasn't very clear, but I've played it back five times just to make sure and I'm pretty positive that's what he says. Which would actually make a lot of sense and give Malcolm reasons for revenge - now that he knows for certain that his only child is dead, there's nothing to protect Moira's children from his wrath.

If Thea wasn't his child, why would he even bring it up? Her not being his child would be of no actual relevance to anything. Nobody ever suspected her of being his daughter before this episode, so it's not like it would be some shocking twist for her to be Robert Queen's child.

Holy arrows, Batman! Didn't see that coming. :wow:

Some future predictions:
1) Slade will gain his powers through the super soldier serum.

2) The Count's death at the hands of the vigilante will tarnish Detective Lance's relationship with Green Arrow. In turn, Sara being alive might also tarnish his relationship with Oliver.

3) The Lazarus Pit definitely exists.

4) Malcolm might try to bring back Tommy with the Lazarus Pit. If that is the case, Tommy may or may not be trained by him and later fight Ollie.

5) Malcolm will try to get Thea to his side and will succeed for a temporary amount of time. Then he will train her while Ollie trains Roy. Eventually she will join Ollie and Roy in the Arrowcave after Ollie and Roy have had a few adventures together and had formed a bond.

6) The truth of Moira's verdict will come out eventually and she will get the death penalty.

man just loved this episode I was shock when the jury came back with a not guilty verdict but then Moria got into the car I knew something was up

@H.U.S.T.L.E.: Malcolm said the word "is"; you deluded yourself into hearing what you wanted to hear.

After what one daughter went through with the Dollmaker and the other one being a killer herself, I don't think Lance is going to mind much with the Count getting put down on his third strike.

It was the lines before that where he says to Moira, "...the ease with which you lied about us for years, it made me wonder whether you'd lied to me."

That implies that Moira could have told Malcolm that Thea was his daughter. I have no idea why Moira would do such a thing, but hey... it's tv, right?

^ Like I said, Malcolm said the word "is", so your line of discussion is pointless.

I liked the Count letting out the Dollmaker because he admired his work. Reminds me of a scene in Con Air. :oldrazz:

Deluded myself? Ok... Honestly though, it's not like I have a vested interest in whether or not Thea is or isn't his daughter. I've played the scene back a bunch of times and I'm still hearing isn't.

If I'm wrong, it doesn't matter one way or the other to me. As long as they follow up with quality material, that's all I care about.

I think he will. They made a big deal out of him trusting Green Arrow now because he changed his ways. Heck, the only reason he started to officially work with him is because he no longer kills.

Why would Moira lie about Thea being their daughter?

That implies that Moira could have told Malcolm that Thea was his daughter.

Why would you believe that when that line of thinking isn't supported by what we've actually seen?

10/10, Dat ending! Did not see that coming! Now I have to wait 2 weeks :(

Moira walking out of this episode alive surprised me more than Malcolm's return. I was expecting her to either get the death penalty or assassinated once she stepped into the car.

Maybe I'm too used to watching TV shows that kill off major characters so frequently.

I've played the scene back a bunch of times and I'm still hearing isn't.

Then you're (deliberately) mis-hearing things... hence why I said you've deluded yourself.

The fact that you're the only person who's commented on the episode to claim that Malcolm said the word "isn't" should've made my case for me.

That twist suddenly made all those Tommy/Thea scenes from last season seem a little... icky.

So is "Brother Cyrus" Cyrus Gold aka Solomon Grundy?

The fact that you're the only person who's commented on the episode to claim that Malcolm said the word "isn't" should've made my case for me.

Haha, that's exactly why I was so confused when I came into the thread. I saw everyone talking about how Thea is his daughter, and I thought "Oh what? I must've heard it wrong." So I watched it back several times and still came to the same conclusion...

Oh well. I'm not going to make it my mission to convince people otherwise, and it does make far more sense for Thea to be Malcolm's child based on the conversation. Regardless of this discussion, I still think his return was done well and I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle it from here on out.

^ Just for the record, I wasn't trying to attack you. :)

It's all good, no harm no foul. I only posted it because I was curious if anyone else heard the same thing or if I was completely crazy, haha.

But yeah, on other Arrow-related topics, I think they handled the Oliver/Felicity interactions well this week. Of all the actresses on this show, my personal opinion is that Rickards has the best chemistry with Amell and I'm rooting for those two crazy kids.
