I want a rope blade in one of those AC games
Recent Game Informer mag has a great thing on AC3, outlining all the details about little stuff we hadn't seen mentioned before, like outlining how the clubs, brotherhood and trading works.
The trading system sounds awesome, you don't buy stores anymore but rather pour resources and crafts into your Homestead, and then you send out your wares via trade routes. Clearing out forts in the frontier can give you access to better trade routes and thus more money. Similarly, because your trade cart is a physical thing moving through the game world, it can get attacked at any time, meaning if you don't want to lose profit, you either have to send your brotherhood out to defend it or go defend it yourself. Also, you can attack OTHER trade carts and steal their goods. AND buying products that you supply at a store gives you a discount on that product :P
So many cool things like that. For instance, in the Homestead, not only do all your allies and adventures bring more people to your land (Which increases productivity) but mementos and trophies from your adventures gradually adorn your property. And you have a secret trapdoor in your house that opens up Connor's hidden basement, where all his Assassins clothes/Weapons are kept.
To be honest, I don't think there should be. I was listening to some old podcast from when Revelations and ACIII were announced and there was talk about how the franchise had been annualized like Call of Duty and Spider-Man, but it really doesn't make sense to make a new game right away after this because the chances are that Desmond and Connor's story both conclude in this one. A new game would need a new assassin and protagonist, which would take more than a year to do right. So ACIII should be the last until a new spinoff shows up.It seems as though they are establishing this as a game that keeps on giving. I don't think there will be a Creed instalment next year.

I can't remember, but in terms of the overall narrative, I think you can say Revelations was necessary as a way of closing off Ezio and Altair's story. I doubt they would have wanted to start ACIII with Desmond in a coma and have to go through that arc without rushing it.Yea, didnt the pres of Ubi say they were going to slow down on the AC titles after Brotherhood dropped?
Oh but the description say's "life sized" though. As in it's the same freaking height as a normal person in real life. lol like I said I wouldn't know where to put it if I were able to apply. lol but I can see other that have put in heir living room in their apartments having conner greet them as they come home from work or what ever and use him a the coolest coat rack/ butler ever, and just say hey , "I'll just borrow your Toma hawk for a bit to chop some wood or go hunting ."If I cared to collect statues I'd compete to win that figure of Connor
At least he could be of some useOh but the description say's "life sized" though. oh yeah he would. He'd also freak some burgles out too.At least he could be of some use

It's bittersweet. ACIII may be the last Assassin's Creed game for awhile. It could be years before we see the title return, but I suppose it's for the best.
Edit: I refuse to assassinate any animal in the game. It'll still feel real to me.![]()

Yeah, I've been looking for the score for ACIII for a while. I have them for the other games and can't wait to see what it sounds like for this one, especially going based on the trailers. Although, I've heard rumblings that Jesper Kyd is not actually doing the score this time. Although I really hope that's not true.If you really enjoy this series, you'd be crazy not to finish Revelations, especially in the lead up to AC 3. It's going to lead into that game PERFECTLY.
Also, I reckon the best thing about that IGN video is the music. Now i've desperately crusing through YouTube trying to find some authentic and non fan made soundtrack music from AC 3
This is the only one I could find. Sounds great though.

Somehow, I think the animals in the game won't have as much reservations about assassinating Connor.![]()

I only mention it because you have the option to kill, skin and sell animals part in that game too, so I was curious how you felt about that. But like you mentioned above, sometimes you had to kill an animal like a bear for sheer survival, and other times killing other animals like rabbits or bird was either for sport or to complete some kind of challenge.
Listen, if an angry bear or buck rolls up on me, then yeah, I'll do what I need to do, but I ain't gonna rub out a squirrel, not unless it's rabid.
Sadly, no. It's one of few big titles I've yet to get around to.
Why?

As weird as it is to think about doing that today, it's interesting to see them implement that into the gameplay in both games since it very much adds to the experience since those were things that people did in those days.

Dont forget about the fact you could actually eliminate ALL the Buffalo in the game. Hah thats one achievement i never attempted. Making a lady get run over by a train? Sure, killing off all the Buffalo? Nope.
I saved before I did it, then loaded that after I got the achievement. Other than what I had to kill for the hunter rankings, I never shot anything that didn't attack me.
