He was fired because they didn't see eye to eye on his new project

There's very little to base that on. Also, if it was just spite and no other factors, why now? Why not when they first acquired him, months ago?

More likely, he was being over protective of his project which Ubisoft now owned, which probably opened up old tensions.

Haha nah theres plenty to base it on. Patrice is mad, says the firing was unwarranted. Its spite. Ubi was mad he didnt want to keep cranking out AC title year after year, so he left before they could fire him, then he came back because of an acquisition, then they saw their golden opportunity to seek revenge. Now they can claim it was because of some differences in opinion.

This plan was months and months in the making.

There are so many potential factors you have no way of knowing, whatsoever. Of course he says it was unwarranted. There was clearly difficulty between Patrice and Ubi. What we don't know is who is in the right. What possible circumstances, where Patrice is fired, would he ever say "Yeah, it WAS warranted... I'm a difficult prick to work with."

Whereas claiming it was some long, gestating Old Boy style revenge is just silly.

Nah, Patrice seems like a nice guy, Ubi is a big corporation, and even tho i'll defend corporations, they tend to be not nice guys. It makes sense they would plot his downfall after he said no to the ****ing out of his game.

You've been listening to Sean Penn again, haven't you?

BRAND NEW CINEMATIC TRAILER!:

[YT]CnSV1SfvKx4[/MEDIA]

I was sold before they announced the game, but yep, couldnt be more excited for this game. Deff gonna snag this for PS4

Beautiful trailer for a beautiful game.

Anybody notice the object Kenway's holding up to the moonlight at the end? The bauble definitely looks very modern, even futuristic. Definitely doesn't look like it belongs in the 18th century. Just sayin'.

Another thing I noticed in the latest trailer:

In that last scene, where he's looking at that odd-looking stone/trinket I talked about above, he's on a different ship than his main one (the "Jackdaw"). This ship is called "Delicia," and that could point towards an actual historical ship and battle that very well could show up in the game:

Gameplay Demo... SOLD

That was fantastic!

"Where's Kenway?!"

*leaps onto ship*

Freakin' awwwwwwwwesome! And then the ship battle right after? Man, just looks like super exciting, swashbuckling gameplay. If it wasn't for GTA V, AC 4 would be the game I'd be most hyped about right now.

Something to do with Juno I'm guessing.

Fantastic demo and exactly what I wanted to see. Well paced too. Loved the bits of Kenway's personality and marksmanship and the battle at the end was just the icing on the cake. BRING IT!!!!

Aside from all of the glitches in the demo last night, I wasn't too impressed by what I saw. Visually, everything looks the same. I thought the rapid firing of the pistols to take out 4-5 guys was cool, but since there was no HUB, I want to see how it was done because knowing the AC style, it was probably one button that made it all happen.

At this point, I'll definitely play it, but I'm not sure if I'll buy it yet.I have every other games in the franchise, so I would want my collection to be complete, but I wouldn't mind wait a few months. It just doesn't look like a Must-have like ACIII did.

Is the lovely Jade Ramond still involved with the series?
