it's bit a off topic, but since this has to do with the series as a whole I thought I'd put it up. I'm not sure if they really wanted to head there with the games. but it would be interesting. we'll see.

Ubisoft's annual series is going to stay firmly in the realm of historical fiction.

This may be the first game I pop into my Xbox One

not AC IV related, but is AC III worth picking up??

I see Best Buy has it on sale for $20.

Haha so we are all thinking it, ima say it.

Looks like Edwards gonna need a bigger boat......badum tish!

Sharks (& crocs) made me scared to go into the water in Far Cry 3; looks like it'll be the same for this game. :/

All i hope for (and this can be said for just about any game with wildlife), is good animal AI. Not EVERY animal will attack you on sight. This was an issue in Red Dead, when every single critter save for a bunny would try and attack you. ACIII had issues as well, every wolf wanted a piece. I hope these sharks dont attack as soon as they see you. I mean most, if not all, sharks tend to just see a human and go "humph", not "nom nom nom nom"

If FC3 was any indication, animal attacks will depend on the animal. Animals like the hogs or cassowaries only attacked if you got close enough; predators usually attacked on sight

I wish killing the animals was realistic in games. It's my natural instinct to shoot an animal in the vitals but nope in games that means nothing

I am terrified of sharks, that bit in Arkham City freaked me out so needless to say I'll be nervous going into the water in Assassins Creed Black Flag now!

Excellent point. I want animals to behave like animals. They should be trying to figure you out when they realise you're there and then make a non-predetermined decision on what to do about it.

I WANT to be excited about this game. Because Pirates rock. But i'm sort of afraid it's going to be another copy and paste thing where you are doing the same side missions over and over while doing the main story. I think they would need to completely change things up to grab me again.

I always hear that. They should change it to make it new. Ok what exactly would they change it to? I actually would prefer they change the controls to make it a bit more like Splinter Cell. The controls for these games are still not great but if you made it control a bit more like SC which I think has the best cover system in any game and has one of the best climbing mechanics.

new video new feature mention usin storms to your advantage and more.

I just watched that video, looks so cool. I'm still wondering how the fleet works, I assume its allied NPC ships that follow you but we haven't seen it (even though in that video he added a ship to his fleet).

Spectacular how much of the planet is available in the game, even if most of it is ocean. This'll be the best AC yet.

I know they don't usually reveal modern day stuff, but I hope they have enough to set up the new modern day protagonist and the new status quo of the present day.

After Juno was released, she still looked like a hologram. I'm wondering if she's gonna be some sort of super powerful evil AI.

Watch Dogs, if the rumors/hints are correct, is in the Assassin's Creed universe and seems to play similarly. I'm glad there is not going to be a modern day AC proper because it'd be weird to suddenly abandon the Animus and the historical aspect the series is grounded in.

I remember about a year or so ago they said they'd be interested in an India-during-colonization game, guess they replaced it with a comic. Cool with me, I love The Fall and The Chain. There's something like 48ish Pieces of Eden and several Temples (maybe more, the ones in Italy aren't on any map uncovered so far) so I'm not even sure if the game series will last long enough to visit and explore everything. Filling out the universe with comics is a way to fix that.

I'm hoping the movie, when its made, is its own story in the universe and not an adaptation of the games. It would be MUCH better to have a never seen time period and characters.

That poor shark. I intend to go swimming with some great white sharks soon and when I saw that pic of the shark I already know what's going to happen to it.

Such amazing creatures. Better than some people

Dont be an idiot. For starters that shark isnt real, its a video game and second, that shark appears as though its attacking Mr. Kenway. He's just defending himself.

Also and forgetting the virtual world and all, why didn't you say "that poor soldier"? He's about to be slaughtered by Edward because he chooses to believe in the Templars way of life(well assuming hes a templar). His idea of a healthy world happens to differ from Edwards so now he's going to die for it. The guy probably has kids and a wife who haven't seen him in months and now they are gonna get a letter explaining how he died because his opinion was different. Shouldn't that guy be the one you shed tears over?

Actually, it's worse than that. Almost all guards and soldiers do not even know theTemplars and Assassins exist. They're just doing a job or are patriotic. Assassins basically run around killing what we would call police or military. Probably why the devs have said its grey vs. gray morality.
