Uhm... IIRC, they're not. After the death of Desmond, it's revealed in Black Flag that Abstergo has the technology to make others relive the past of non-related people. They just need a blood sample of a descendant, but the one doing the "reliving" doesn't need to be a blood relative. That's why the POV-character in Black Flag was able to relive the memories of Edward Kenway (Desmond's ancestor) and the one in Rogue was able to relive the memories of Shay. It's also set up that Abstergo (Entertainment) is using the technology to make games and distribute them to the unknowing population, meaning that Unity and Syndicate are actually games IN the game universe as well, but are not limited not Desmond's genes.

Anyway, the last Assassin who was Desmond's ancestor was Edward. Shay, Arno, Evie and Jacob are all non-related.

the desmod stories dead cause the same guy that said they will never do japan is the same one that got disinterested in Desmond story during the etio period and he was shown on video just being obsessed with traveling and loving the art of the buildings .

lol that was his main concern . I'm not sure what happened be tween him and japan. but that's where this former director and now head of the assassin's creed studio's head has been at since .

Im surprised they havent especially since they put Prince of Persia on hiatus. A game set in ancient India would be the closest we'd get to architecture and style in a similar vein as that series

it's cause with Egypt they might venture to grease a and grease has went into Persia with their history it's self often and they Persia were more likely to have assassin's as a thing back then in the day those three interacted for the first time.

I would love to see a game set in India! So beautiful! So diverse! So many wonderful ideas. Which era would you choose? The end of colonial era?

Great idea! I always wanted a game set in Indonesia. That's never been done before and there's tons of history there.

I assume an Assassin's Creed set in Japan would involve Samurai. Not just ninjas.

Not that I'm against the idea but samurai have been done tons of times too

[FONT=&quot]Earlier today, another leak detailed more of what could be featured in Assassin's Creed Origins, as well as answered a couple questions. This leak comes after a 4chan leak that was recently revealed and Ubisoft's confirmation that the game will indeed release this year.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]According to the new leak, the game will be released October 31st, 2017 - however - that date could easily be a placeholder for an October or Fall release. On top of that, the game will get its first gameplay trailer at the end of this week - which means how true any of this leak is can be proved on Friday, depending on whether the trailer drops or not.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Apparently, there have been three "real leaks" since last year and they were all "coordinated." In addition to this, the leaker stated that the game will feature "11 sequences, 20-hour main story with around 10% modern-day."[/FONT]

• The story has 11 sequences, will last around 20 hours
• The map is 3 times the size of Black Flag, will have Egypt + Mediterranean Sea
• "Assassin´s Creed: Origins" is the official title of the new game.
• The game will take place in Roman Egypt, we will have smaller rifts that take place "way before that"
• The rifts are going to be comparable to the one in Syndicate and will be "closed" open worlds.
• The main campaign takes place in "100/200 AD Roman Egypt"
• The combat is "a slightly better version of Witcher 3", will be way more tactical than previous AC titles. "5% old animations - 95% new animations."
• Parkour is really smooth. Compared to other the AC games will be "AWESOME!" Compared to other games? "Really good, but not as good as Horizon e.g." (this is a pretty weird statement"
• There will be sailing
• Gameplay mechanics will be closer to Unity
• When asked about Juno the leaker repeats "expect the unexpected"
• "Baled" and "Shed" have something in common
• The leaker can't confirm all of the things in the 4chan leak, "but maybe some things changed over the development process"
• Release date is set for 10/31/17
• There are 2 main characters, but not in the same way as Syndicate. Maybe refers to a historical and modern day protagonists or 2 historical characters from different eras.
• "Leaker" really likes the story, says it will potentially blow our minds and again repeats to expect the unexpected
• Can't reveal any information about his identity
• Reveal trailer will show setting, short modern day look, character is introduced
• The cities take around 40% of the game world, the biggest city will be like Rome in AC Brotherhood
• There will be a rift during the Napoleonic wars, but we won't play as Arno
• The combat system is all about the parry mechanism
• Modern Day will play like AC III, but will be larger and more interactive. In terms of hours it will be around 10% of the main story.
• "A second game in Greece is fix. Soft Reboot fits pretty good here - Prepare to see some old faces"
• When asked about tomb exploration leaker says it will be even better than Brotherhood and Revelations.
• Outfit customization is pretty much like in Unity.
• Trilogy still isn't confirmed.
• Charlotte will have new assassins surrounding her as a team
• Leaker claims he's aware of 4 rifts at the moment.

• Can't say anything about side activities, leaker's priorities were story, combat and stealth mechanics
• Again mentions that combat is Witcher 3-like, but slightly better and more impactful

• Collectibles will be a mix of story/lore related and collectibles for the sake of collectibles
• Leaker says the soundtrack reminds them of the "good old days, remember AC II?"
• Greater mission variety, leaker says they enjoyed it
• Game is newcomer friendly, but the "Modern Day is not that easy for newcomers.. But a pretty good way I would say"
• New combat engine, says we will love it
• 3 skill trees and 5 different types of weapons
• When asked to mention a historical character leaker says Antonius Pius
• We will get to see the "origins" of the Assassin/Templar conflict
• When asked about a better healing mechanic: "Better? Don´t know Way more realistic? Yes!"
• No British accents
• Can we recruit assassins again? "Mh.. kind of"
• Boat gameplay is really easy and smooth, only 1 button and the stick are needed
• Classic version of the hidden blade and we'll only be able to use a single blade
• Leaker says he'd love to have Jesper Kyd back

I need Assassins Creed to be great again because Unity and Syndicate were repetitive and boring to me. I own Syndicate and still haven't finished yet because it's so boring.

Hmm, Antonius Pius is in the game. Fun fact:

The first Roman Ambassadorial mission to China arrived in China in 166 AD. There is debate about whether Antonius or his son Emperor Marcus Arelius sent the envoy. Either way, its the perfect way for the developers to take the series to China in this new trilogy.

Usually, when a leak comes out, we typically say to take it with a grain of salt. While that still holds true, as far as leaks go, this one looks pretty safe. It appears as though Assassin's Creed: Origins is Game Informer's cover story for their next issue, and that it will release on October 27th, 2017. Leaks have popped up on Reddit with a set of cover images as well as the entire feature article posted to Imgur.


It seems pretty legit as the image above matches the leaked pre-order card for the game's Gold Edition that confirmed the Egypt setting.
Suffice it to say; there are a ton of potential spoilers in the feature article and on Reddit, so if you're waiting for the inevitable Ubisoft E3 reveal, you might want to hold off on seeing them. That said, the time that Ubisoft has taken to produce this game appears to have paid off as there is a level of depth here that the series has never seen before.


Ubisoft's E3 presser is going down on Monday, June 12th at 10 AM PST/1 PM EST, so keep it locked to GameZone for more details on Assassin's Creed: Origins.
