If that was the scrapper, then he seems to show up just by himself.

Does Purple Man ever appear as a boss or mini boss to fight? Or Epic boss even? He doesn't really seem to have that big a presence in this SO as I thought, apart from them mentioning him from time to time.

Looking at the walkthrough on PD's forums, I couldn't find him listed on the boss list in any of the missions so it's a bit puzzling to see him get character art, yet apparently not be able to fight him. Would be interesting to see if he's a villain who only appears in dialogue (similar to how Kingpin showed up) before being able to fight him later down the road.

That sucks that there's no actual Purple Man, especially after full character art. I thought this SO was going to be very different to how it actually played out, with lots of mind control etc. Didn't end up needing the likes of Blade at all. And if ever there were a time for the Purple Man to feature in game, it would be now against Jessica Jones. Kingpin, while I'm glad to have him, could've waited for a DD-related SO. Or they could've had both, with Purple Man as a boss.

And Kingpin seems a bit on the short side.

Damn. Narrowly missed 3-starring mission 3 by just 4,878. That's annoying. Should've used Hybrid and Anti-Venom, but Hybrid is in training. So is Union Jack, so I couldn't do a combo with Spitfire either.

Fought 4 ally group bosses this morning. guess I just need to get up at sunrise and check. All were at less than 7% too.

Got 100 iso in roulette too, let me do the third research and gave me enough to two star mission 2.

Jessica and Molly work pretty well together. Molly's got similar powers too with the super strength, she just glows purple when she uses them- oh... that causes an unpleasant line of thought...

i started the third research. Gonna do an epic run for mission 3 and try to get 3*s with Anti-Venom and Hybrid.

This feels like the ultimate softball SO. Don't get me wrong; it's nice being able to take it easy. But only 2 deploys for the epic boss run? And Iron Fist and Spider-Man are the deploys in the other missions. I've never played an SO where I could do every last deploy.

I think you should be able to fairly easily. I nearly reached it with Daredevil and Psylocke, but it was just slightly short.

I'm on 3 covers and 1 duplicate now. 40 LBs. Seems to be going better than the Mordo one.

I've only had Hybrid free for about an hour at level 13, and now with this new simulator XP, he's already nearly in need of training again.

Stuck on the Defeat 5 Kingpins task as I've only had 1 pop up in the last day and 5 total since the SO started. Likely won't get many more until tomorrow since that's when most people's GB will refresh.

Defeat 5 Kingpins? I thought it was just Complete 5 Battles against Kingpin.

I suppose I could fight my own GB when it respawns. I don't have enough UISO for that at the moment though. I only have about 20, and need it to 3 star mission 3.

From now on in future SOs, I'll have to use Hybrid and Anti-Venom all the time. Gaining XP in an SO is somewhat irrelevant now too since the simulator task became available.

I think you're right DR. Finish 5 battles. Not gonna get to that task until tomorrow, so hopefully some show up tomorrow besides my own that I can respawn.

Defeat/Complete are basically the same thing, especially with how soft Kingpin has been as a GB.

Well it can't be exactly the same thing, because if he's at around 100% or even 90%, he's still going to escape before you can get him down to 0%, meaning you haven't actually defeated him as such.

Maybe they didn't have time to finish him properly and just had him as more of a background character. I barely felt his presence at all, especially since I tend to skip most of the dialogue.

I thought this would be one of the most difficult SOs with Purple Man controlling everyone as an in game character. But it's turned out to be one of the easiest SOs instead.

I just took out a bruiser GB with Fixer. When the last mine went off, Fisk went from 90% straight down to zero. Then I took another ten minutes to do the same for the two henchmen, since they've got that pesky "Gettin' paid for it" recharge or whatever it's called.

If I were to repeat that, I probably won't use all 3 of Fixer's mines. One outta do the job. Gotta give my allies something to do.

This right here is why I think LBs are going to be hard to come by unless PD toughens Kingpin up a bit. He's so easy to beat down that it's not going to allow more than a handful of allies to hit him before he's completely dead.

have to fight Kingpin 5 times... and pretty sure all my allies and my own won't respawn for another day or so. So... guess I just have to wait now.

Also this goes to December 23rd? Huh, that'll be cutting it close for a Christmas/Winter holiday themed on.

Im up to the fight Kingpin task as well. I can re spawn my kingpin at 10 pm tonight and hopefully a few allies will have some for me tonight as well.
